Any new 7 owners that regret the purchase??

No regrets. Worth every penny.

No regrets here. I wish I would have chosen my options a little differently, but that is not BMW’s fault. I do not have much experience in “luxo sedans”, I have owned a Lincoln Continental and Lexus 460. Both are boring cars compared to the 750Li w/ Xdrive.

Just need some more utility and space and more power, while keeping it in the same brand.

But I am looking at the New GL550 or even the GL63 as well.

Run Flats. Blows my mind that a flagship has this loud bumpy option. Not on an A8, S550, Ls460. Any one else have this beef?

On the topic of regrets...I don't have a single regret. I love my 7 series and most likely will upgrade to the redesigned 7 series unless I move to the 6 series gran coupe.

The X5 will always a tab smaller compare with GL, since I plan to have a second kid, I think a larger SUV might be better. But I don't wanna lose the driving fun though.

Your 7 is still new, maybe you should hold on until the next gen 7er come out, or at least wait for the new S class. The 13' 7 is nice, but to me it's not worth the switch.

I wasn't too happy with my F02. My lease is being transferred as we speak. Very luxurious and handsome car by the way..I wanted a little more sporty feel when I step on the gas. Looking to get into a Panamera GTS or a CLS63.

None, its a perfect long-distance freeway cruiser. Long cruising range(522mi to empty!), very quiet, extremely comfortable. Next time I'll get the 750, but this was my first bimmer, great starting point.

I love my 7, but it was only a filler in between my M's. M5 is due shortly

No regrets. My `11 750ix MSport totally wowed me and everyone who rode in it.

In what regard? Every new 5 series I get as a loaner has felt quite nimble, and you can get almost all of the same options in the 5 now.

I agree, not a fan of the run flats.

As for my expectations of the actual vehicle having been met, I'd give it an 8/10. Shortcomings are the piece of **** sound system, the random cabin noises, and the rough transmission. Performance and handling are good, cabin is comfortable, electronics are up to date.

I'd give the overall service a 3/10. No excuse for BMW not forcing all of the dealerships to give us loaners. They can give me that "they're independent companies" b/s all they want - other luxury manufacturers force their dealers to do it all the time. And we also shouldn't have to return multiple times to get simple issues fixed. Advisers should be checking to ensure completion before calling us up and having us come out there. Don't know what the cause of this is and don't really care. Time is money.

The loaner part I never got because this one dealer up here uses a rental company and rarely gives out BMW loaners, the dealer I use tho has a few loaners including X5's. And thing some dealers don't understand is owners of flagship cars are usually business people who might use their car for clients such as real estate agents so imagine picking up your client in a loaner Toyota, it just doesn't look good.

However, I regret everything I do. Because that's how I am. I'm always after the next bigger thing. So when I had a 3er, I wanted a 5er. When I had a 5er, I wanted a 7er. Now I want a B7 or a Rolls - plus a Porsche or Ferrari. I want to fly private (domestically), and first class (internationally). And have the best for my wife and family. That's just how I am, and is something that drives me - the status quo is really not enough.

So for folks like that, I doubt the 7 series will be the be all and end all for you.

I absolutely love my car. I dislike he run-flat tires, the cruddy sound system and I would like a bit simpler i drive menu system. That's it!

Beautifully put. There's always the Next Big Thing seeking your desire. For me it's going to be a luxury plug in hybrid. maybe from BMW. Maybe not.

The brand new car drew to the right from day one. In the first four months the car spent 2 months in three different Official BMW service facilities. However the car kept swimming from right to left and vice versa, and the problem wasn’t solved despite all the efforts. Bought in Spain via an official BMW distributor network, the origin of the cause wasn’t clarified, due to lack of knowledge or secrecy?

In Germany and The Netherlands two independent official dealers were consulted and after their investigation both declared independently the car irreparable.

The origin lies in the fact, the new F01 models do have a different chassis design compared with the previous E65. In the F01 part tolerances turned out to be too far off the centre in their fields and to lie in opposite direction at the extremes of their limits. This combination is the cause of the difficulty with the steering system that made the driving experience awful tiring. After 10.000KM all tyres were replaced due to excessive wear and tear, originated by the steering problem. Only the addition of the Dynamic Drive option would have camouflaged the fault.

My father, 86, recently asked me how my car was driving and how I was enjoying it. He is excited to talk about cars. I explained to him that no one could figure out why the car pulls to the right, why the steering wheel vibrates, and why the tires seem to dribble like basketballs over expansion joints. He was awe struck. His answer, "I just never thought that particular company would be like that." Sometimes, fathers do know best. He bought a Chrysler at the same time, which aims straight down the highway, and vibrates nothing in the passenger compartment. Nor does it come with run-flats. This is my last BMW. I loved my E66 and thought getting the F01 would be a natural progression of wonderfulness. Boy was I wrong.
