Hissing sound?????

A very strange hissing sound was coming from my engine this morning around the radiator area. It sounded like a vacuum leak, maybe?? After running it for 30 minutes it went away. It ran smoothly as usual, idled fine, temp gauge normal everything was fine except for the hissing. I can't imagine what it could have been. Anyone else experience this?
