Does anyone have 21's on thier new 7?

I'd love to hear from you regarding the ride.

I've driven one with non run flat tires and the ride was identical to the ride in my 7 with 19 run flats. He did tell me he noticed a slight change in harshness for the better when he switched from the run flats. He also drives REAL carefully so he doesnt hit too many potholes. I personally loved the way it looked, but it did make the wheel gaps look HUGE, Im going with 20's my wheels should be here on tuesday.

Which 20's did you get?

beyern mesh in silver. The hold up was with the tire sizes. The beyerns are 10" rears and i thought a 275 would look alittle stretched on a 10" wheel, so i was searching for 285 but only pirelli pzero has a 285 with a matching 245 front. Of course theyre on back order till god knows when in those sizes so i ended up getting the 275 hankooks which run a little wider than some other tires. If it looks stretched they arent that priceyand ill just buy the pirellis or or move up to 255 front 295 rear and get michelin ps2s.

I got them from discount tire. they were cheap. 2200 including the TMS sensors and mounting balancing and shipping. Figure if i dont like them its not that bad of a hit. If you do decide to get them, give them a call instead of ordering online, some of those guys are pretty knowledgable and more than willing to help out with any questions you have. Guy i spoke to, i think his name was Andy, he was a bmw fan, i was on the phone with him for about an hour while he called different manufacturers to see if maybe they were releasing a tire soon in the size i needed. GREAT customer service.

Bro, 21's on your car would look sick!!! They are expensive tires, however; they have come down a bit do to more manufacterers making that size tire....Michelin, Pirelli, Continental, hankook, Yokohama, Goodyear and Toyo but Toyo has limited widths. They would set your new 7 apart from the rest in your area im sure...

Good point. I'll look into the tires first to be sure I can get some.

BMW makes the 21's their not aftermarkets so you know they tested them already...IMO as far as my 7 goes the ride is the same as the 19inch sports because the tire width is the same, only thing changed was size by 2inches..Fills wheel well better and I get many compliments....Ofcourse they only make 21's in summer tires so if u plan to drive that car in the winter you will have to swap out!

The 21'', model 128's are knocked-off and all over the place for less than $1,000 shipped (rims only). Or you can buy from BMW for $5,000ish (w/tires). Easy decision for me.

I'm dragging my feet on the 21's because they've been out for years and am bothered putting old wheels on a new car. I can buy the 20 303's but they cost 2.4X more for the rims. I can't make up my mind.

they r very easy to clean but brake dust is ridiculous. im waiting on axxis delux to make a pad for new 7

the ride is much better than run flats. only wish they gave me a spare

I use one of these from autogeek--very effective and very fast.

To be honest if I were you I would get the newer 20's and this is why...They are less maintenance in regard to damage because u can go with a higher treadwall, you also have many more options in tires including all seasons and runflats, and the tires are much less expensive. The BMW wheels are built tough, I never had a bend, slow leak or anything with my 128's, however; they are made in a way that they look like they are riding on the ground even with tires on, this is what makes them look so sweet!!!! I just hate having to drive so cautiously because the tires not the wheels are subject to damage easily with potholes etc...

Well they look great and Im sure u dont see many people with them which is key...I guess u will just have to throw that original wheel on for a spare if that time comes...

That was the nudge I needed to push me over. I agree with your perspective as well. I'll order them up.

Ever consider the 19" M - Sport Wheels?

The 20's are sweet...What's BMW getting for those?

Yeah, I've seen those. I prefer the cleanier 303's.
