In praise of Blackstone Labs

I am due to purchase my 2007 MCoupe off of lease this coming Tuesday, 09-14-10, and I had just learned that BMW will now do an Inspection 1 if your car is within 2,000 of the indicated counter. I had the Inspection 1 done on Tuesday and got a sample of oil. As the post office was closed by the time I picked up my car, the sample didn't go out to Blackstone Labs until Wednesday AM via USPS express mail. I had e-mailed Blackstone of my need to get fast action, and I also put that on the slip that accompanies the sample.

They received the sample on Wednesday, and on Thursday I received a phone call from them saying that they would e-mail me full results later that day, but since I was concerned about a previous report that showed an elevated lead level that they wanted to call and reassure me that the test results were fine and the engine wear looked great. I did get the e-mail latter in the day.

This was truly great customer service. I highly recommend them.
