Hellrot Turbo Build

Matt, it looks like it's working as intended. Get a plastic spatula and scrap off the softened paint, then scrub with steel wool and mineral spirits. Repeat on the tough parts. Sand smooth what's left. Prime, seal and paint.

I'll try that stuff out.

I really really really heavily applied it 4 times, and there is still a bunch of paint left. It's taking a lot longer than I'd like. The old paint was peeling badly, that's why I didn't just sand/prime/paint.

I used a scraper too, never heard of steel wool though. I'll try that out!

Try Dad's Easy Spray Paint remover. That stuff will take any paint off anything else, including your skin off your body if you get it on you. I use it on locomotive horns that have been painted with DuPont Imron and it takes even that tough epoxy paint off.

Progress, not perfect as they're used, but not bad. Some medium scratches here and there, but I'm not putting bondo on anything so it is what it is.

Rear bumper painted and installed, turned out ok, not bad for used I guess.

Nah, I don't trust myself painting big things lol. There's some dirt and for some reason 5 bugs decided to land in the clear....lol.

Someone drilled through the cover. I'm really tempted to get the tow hook license plate thing, but it seems like a lot of them stick out way to far.

But yea, round these parts tow hooks on front or back scream "JDM AS FCUK".

I need it for the track! Cool it lol.

Well, they can't be any less full and detailed as those in his original build Karl.

I loled everytime he forgot his camera but got a lot done, Its true tho it was hard for me to take pictures because you start to get so concentrated on the work and you end up not caring,

easiest would be if you have a lady friend take pictures the whole time

Plus I get covered in filth, making it hard to take pictures.

How much matt?

Not sure yet, I'll probably list it on bimmerforums for around 3k or a little less, but I need to powder coat some stuff and lay it all out.

This would be tune, injectors, maf, all hardware and full exhaust, etc.
