04 X5 Lower heat vent- no output

My 2004 X5 3.0 air vent has no heat or air coming out when turned to the feet position on the three way dial. I have looked underneath for something obvious- nothing seemed stuck in opening. Not sure where to start...

If you have the manual IHKR (with 3 dials) instead of the automatic IHKA system...then the air distribution dial (#2 in illustration below) is attached to 3 cables...which manually actuate the air flaps as the dial is rotated.

Have you pulled the IHKR to check the operation of the bowden cables?

Danke Schon!

Wunderbar! Took about 3 minutes to reattach the green cable. Thank you.
