Battery light

Need help on finding out why my battery keeps on dyeing and my battery light is on. The dealership that sold the E53 to told me that they change both the battery and alternator but didn't install the battery vent hose. Can any help out. Thanks in advance.

If your battery light is on...it means that the alternator charging system is NOT charging the battery. Thus, the battery is the VICTIM of the charging system is being killed off.

You need to find out why the battery isn't being recharged by the alternator.

I had the same issue and discovered that the alternator was bad. You have to make sure the stealership put the correct alternator in the car. If you used one that is anything less than 180 Amp the battery will die. The alternator has to be strong enough to run the car and charge the system. I found one on ebay out of Cali and had it shipped to me and installed. Both the purchase and the install cost less than the dealer wanted to charge me for the Alternator alone. Car runs like a champ no issues.
