Ditch the Run Flat Tires. That will improve traction and ride quality.

The clutch delay valve (cdv) is very cheap, and restores the clutch feel and actuation of normal cars.

Clutch Displacement Valve, Ultimate Cupholders, BMW All-Weather Floor Mats, Upgraded Sound System, Tischer Cup Holder Delete, No Run-Flats, and maybe an Exhaust. I got a Stebro Exhaust that is semi-aggressive for less than $500 installed.

And Shorter Antennae. I got a Honda S2000 OEM 5" Antennae for under $25. It looks great and takes literally 20 seconds to install. A lot of people go with the Bimmian version of a Stubby Antennae. Just make sure it is black.

Red-Out Vinyl's for yellow tail light circles. Not a must have but i think it looks far better....$5 and 5 minute install.

I went all out and got Imola Red Roundel Covers that match the interior perfectly. I changed every Roundel on the car for under $25 and a half hour of time. Takes $0 and 5 minutes to go back to stock.

Wow, those are some great suggestions. I'm curious about the Upgraded Sound System. Since the car came with the THX system (which still sucks), what did you do for this improvement? I'm going to try the CDV removal this weekend. The setup for the Z4 looks a lot different than on my E39 as it appears to have some sort of bracket that helps attach the CDV to the slave but I'm sure I'll figure it out when I get in there.

I would also add the "M" steering wheel (part number 32307906780). This is the same thick, padded M wheel that comes on the Z4M but without the tri-color stitching. Cost from Tischer was $455 delivered. The actual part number with the tri-colored stitching is about $900.

A windscreen really cuts down on the wind in the cockpit. I'd recommend the plexiglass over the mesh. Roadster Solutions is one place that sells them. I just assume you have a roadster.

Yes, you have a roadster, correct? I would definitely suggest a windscreen. It does a world of difference when driving. As Hughbert said, plexiglass is better than mesh, which I completely concur with. However, get lexan if you can, it handles roughness way better than most other materials. I've checked out a few different companies such as Roadster Solutions, etc, but I personally ended up using Windblox because their windscreens are slightly larger than most other windscreens.

Also, I'm a sound junkie, and an amp and 1000 watts goes a long way. Just something to consider.

+1 on ditching the run-flats. Add a V1 : )

Get some good conventional tires with a decently high sidewall to ease the ride.
Add a good radar detector if don't already have one....

RPI Ram Air Induction kit. Gives smoother acceleration. Butt dyno shows an improvement. Best $129 spent. Also... remove charcoal filter from airbox to gain a few extra horsepower.

Leather Z armrest, CDV valve, RPI scoop, Ultimate Cupholders and get rid of your runflats. Do those and then you'll be asking yourself why the car didn't come that way in the first place.

Strange.... Wonder why RatePlanners states that the RPI site is down. Palantrion's link on his site works.

RPI Skid plates, if you have the M-type front bumper. Cheap and useful!
