Unfamiliar Bimmer

Some times one notices what isn't there more than what is. Last night, while walking my dogs around the neighborhood, I realized that a deteriorating BMW that had been sitting in a yard for several years is no longer there. I always wondered about this car because it didn't look like any other I've every seen. It obviously had been a very good looking car before it started to fall apart. It it looked like a 70s vintage Bavaria Two Door Hard Top but had no identifiying lettering or numbering on it. I'd thought about stopping and asking if it was for sale, but, I didn't want to get into a project car.

Does anyone know what this particular Bimmer might have been?

Maybe a 2002 or bavaria models.

The only coupes from that vintage would be either a 6-series ('76 to '89), or the "CS" series ('68 to '75). They shared appearance with the Bavaria, and had the same running gear.
