Well tell those people to get their $h!t in line. Its only a 12hr drive from PDX, and I made same-week reservations to make it before.

Regardless, I'm hoping that the Bimmerfest hosts get it together, I'd like to make reservations sooner than later.

I'm getting close to having to try for next year. My wife is pestering me to go on vacation the end of june. I have to plan this trip oon or scrub it and plan for the end of June. 7000 mile round trip takes lots of money planning and time to pull off. I still need to get a passport....

You've made it in 12hrs before? how many speeding tix? I had been planning 15.5 hrs not that it's a big difference time wise, but add in stops for fuel & food, keeping at a moderate (read: unlikely to get a speeding ticket) pace, a one day drive is now a overnight stop in the middle.

I'll be there as a first timer this year regardless, I've promised a lot of folks that I would, and if details are worked out soon, I may be able to redirect my buddies change of heart.

It's like 48 hours of driving for me.....and I have to travel through a foreign country to get there....I can wait about a week then I'll have to start planning the trip in June and allocating the funds for this trip to that one plane tickets for June are getting more expensive the longer I wait to make the reservatioons.

This is unfortunate, for me that is! This year was goin to be my first year attending but I have to have my holiday requests in by this afternoon, hopefully next year!!! LOL

Same here if they are able to set it on the last 2 weekends of May then I will be there just waiting to see what happens!!!! keep fingers crossed!!

This is getting really nerve racking.

There's a group of about 20 of us from UT that come each year.

Most of us already have had our hotel reservations at the Canary for 2010 since Dec. of last year.

We're all getting really nervous that it's FEB and there's no date still.

Can we at least get some information to tide us over? Something to make us feel a little more comfortable that this is getting quickly resolved? Is this an issue with the Polo field?

We all agreed last year that the polo field was one of the best venues ever and took the event to an unmatched level.

I agree, however, it would be nice to have some sort of update. The last we heard was from Jon on the 15th of January saying this:

If I don't hear anything in the next couple days, I may have to cancel. I need time to put aside some money for the long trip, but I really want to go. Please give us an update of some sort, maybe a range of dates might even be enough.

Trust me, anyone who decides to "bag it" at this point will regret their decision.

Rose Bowl?

Sounds like Rose Bowl.

I hope it doesn't move out of SB. If it's in LA area it will discourage a lot of us Norcal guys from going.

Sounds like the Rose Bowl to me.. or the Coliseum (more grass)... Not sure of the surrounding area there though..

I don't think it could be the Rose Bowl.......there's not enough room for all of us on a football field. There's a golf course right next to it, maybe that's it?

They wouldn't play football on a golf course

And golf course grass is waaaaaayyy too sensitive.

It's cost thousands upon thousands of dollars to repair it.
