Today I thought I would change the light bulb on the light switch.

Then I accidentally broke the new bulb.

Then I figured I would try to clean my brake light switch(while I was under there).

Realized it does not come out very easy.
So I left it unplugged...no more "Brake Light Circuit " warning.

Can't take it out of park now.

Plugged it back in...so now I can drive again.

Nice productive day

I think I may have discovered a blown head gasket.

Loosing coolant but no trace in the oil.

Slight white exhaust smoke.

Bugger me thats a fair old job to fix! Better get the torque wrench handy...

Yes it is. The snow just keeps falling. I got to school this morning no problems thanks to my snow tires. Had to shovel 4-5 inches of snow off the driveway first though.

Franklyn, there are tons of snow tires with wheels on Craigslist.

Yea, I can believe it. I was driving back from spring break one year before I had snow tires. My summer tires were almost bald to make matters even worse. I was on the highway doing about 10mph having to feather the clutch so I didn't spin out by giving it too much power or kill it because I was driving so slow. And it was like 1am. I was almost completely sideways a couple times...

Luckily, I was able to save it every time and finally got to an exit. It took me over an hour to go about 10 miles to reach the next exit. That was not a fun ride at all.

Bald summer tires in snow FTL!

Yea, I saw that in one of the other threads and you got stuck at your gf's house. Glad to hear you and your car are alright.

Katie, really didn't want me to drive my car today. She wanted me to take hers, but I don't think mine can be much worse than hers in the snow. 06 Mazda 3 with all-season tires vs 96 328 with snow tires. And hers is worth at least 2 to 3 times as much as mine.

I put the new hood badge on, and am currently sanding multiple layers of paint off my side moldings to prep for a fresh coat of paint. will post pics when I'm done, which may be a while since i need to order new clips

also discovered that my back passenger door opens at random, usually when making left turns, even when latched tightly...hmmmm

care to take my mil for a spin...

methinks that sounds like a door latch problem, dear. similar to amber's issue but different.

good luck with the repair and the paint.

in my world, i did not have time to do anything to my car today. had to fix the heater...

And isn't that the problem Amber was having that made her want to blow up her car???

only because it was the driver's door that wasn't closing properly.
