done reading that and figured out why the spring never fits correctly (and knocking too), because the shock is meant for non M3 and the spring is for 96+ M3. Always learn something new everyday...

Presonally, I don't like to put M bumpers on cars without M performance... Just my 2 cents. Alternatively, for the moment, I'm driving an M powered car with a non M bumper

I just removed the dash and HVAC box from my old 31late, ready too plop it into my 325, unless I find a TI for super cheap. Also, I don't know why people are so scared of removing the dash, it's easy as pie. Also started tearing the rest of the car down in preparation for parting it out, not to plug my stuff or anything.
