You have to learn some way! Just take it for a spin and be easy on it, before you know it you'll want more power.

I was bored and decided to continue the game. Learn how to drift in this game and finally got the hang of it a little bit. Still prefer GT5 tho, too bad they don't make any E36

Dropped the exhaust from from the 318 in preparation for pulling the tranny, this involved sheering the four bolts connecting the mid pipe too the manifold, I guess I maybe could have waited longer for the WD-40 to work it's magic, but I prefer the redneck breaker bar (piece of 1.25" pipe over the handle of the socket wrench) approach.

My engine has 206K miles on it and the vanos is a little noisy, doesn't sound too bad, but I never really notice it kicking in. Is the transition subtle? I drove a honda quite a few years ago and remember being able to feel the valve timing change (sorta like giving the engine a second wind?), should it be something you can feel, or is it pretty imperceptible?

Today on my bimmer i....

finally finished work replacing my rear upper and lower control arms (with control arm bushings and balljoints), trailing arm bushings, rear sway bar bushings/brackets/end links and i also replace my rear shock mounts with meyle HD shock mounts. it fells like new back there biggest problem was getting the exhaust off i had to dermal out the four bolts connecting it to the cat and i snapped off the bolts holding it up to the rubber carriers it is currently being held up with some string i found lol.

VANOS will never feel like Honda's VTEC. I do have quite a bit of respect for Honda's motors, but they are gutless until they hit 6200rpm, then the VTEC kicks in and you're off. VANOS is nothing like that.

Today on my car, I de-baffled the airbox. I was hoping for increased intake sound, but didn't notice anything different, so I may put it back in. Oh well.

Did you take the tube from the radiator support to the front of the airbox off too? That is where the noise comes from.

That tube makes noise, or takes away from it? I haven't had mine on since the swap.

I left the intake snorkel on so I would still be pulling cool air from behind the headlight. I thought removing the baffle might add some sound, but it doesn't really make a difference. I still don't really understand why the baffle is there in the first place though.

I took both baffles out of my airbox, left snorkel on, can't tell the difference over my exhaust leak...
