Goofy as in super low? Then yeah. ET17. I should post em over in the E34 section, they'd work perfectly on one of those.

Where did they even come from? They must be reps, right?

Reps, but made in Italy. Pretty good quality I'd say.

I have the Italian contour reps with those Blizzaks I bought a couple weeks ago. The offset is normal though

That makes me concerned. I was going for a track-rat super wide tire thing with them, but gave up when the 225/45s werent fitting my car. So they are for sale.Edit: CJ, I think they made them in this low offset so E34 guys could have some E36 awesomeness on their tanks

Yeah, they come in different offsets. I know someone out here who has them in a normal offset.

No, they're reps. They are 16" Contours with E36 offset made by some Italian company. They're one of the few 16" wheels that will fit over M3 brakes, so he uses them as winter wheels with studless winter tires on his M3.

Today on my BMW, I:
![]() Blammo! They fit perfectly with no spacers or fender rolling, and they are awesome! 245/40s all around, and I am rockin'! Car is dirty. Focus on the wheels. More to come!

If you go lower in the front does it rub?

Looks totally tys, Karl.
CJ, The grip is probably still kinda sucky because of the mold release lube, but in 500 miles of driving they'll be stickier than dog poop on your shoe.

245/40s would rub in the front with coilovers and no spacers. I'm on Bilstein Sports, which lower me by 1.5" front, 1.0" rear, and have just enough clearance all around to allow for a little bit of tire deflection. I couldn't go any bigger without using spacers or rolling my fenders.

I haven't really played with them yet, but on my test drive I did notice that turn-in is considerably sharper than it was with my old wheels & tires. The car feels much more agile now.
As an added perk, they also feel smoother than my old tires, undoubtedly because they actually have tread... So they handle better and ride nicer. It's a win-win. Can't wait to take more photos tomorrow.

today, I found out where my epic oil leak came from. Turns out I forgot to tighten the top nut on the VC by the VANOS.

Nada, just this time Alan. I was baffled because I thought it was leaking by the VANOS, and I was like WTF how? Then I saw the little rubber gasket on the top while snooping one day and noticed it wasnt as crushed, and pushed the washer. Sure enough, it was loose. The other times it leaked by the half-moons in the back, and along the bottom of the head. ROFL
