So much stuff. Started yesterday prepping my E46 seats while I waited on UPS to bring me my cooling system goodies, those cocks didn't show up until 4:45 pm so that was when I started tearing into the car. Replaced t-stat housing t-stat, upper/ lower rad houses, water pump, and over flow tank.

While I was at it I replaced the PS pump and the steering rack (seals went bad in the Z3 one ) spent ages trying to get the one from my 318 onto it figuring that 80,000 fewer miles must be a good thing, but it would not fit, WTF?, then I grabbed the old 325 rack, it popped right in, but it had a ****ty tie rod one it that didn't want to let go.

Spent most of the night bleeding the cooling system, and now I think I'm finally good to go to BFE.... By way of the Outer Banks

Great job! I will be doing the same things with my cooling system next week. Should be fun!

See you soon.

^Thanks for reminding me. I need to do an oil change too.

I'll be moving up to Rochester a few days after BFE. You, Franklyn and I should get together while I still have my car/license.

Sounds good. Be warned, I probably qualify as an old frat, being almost 2x your age!

I think this summarizes how most of us feel. My touch up paint is now making its best efforts to flee from the massive missing patches on my front bumper and I don't have any more to fill it back in. I also have some extensive clearcoat damage on the hood and roof, and some brand new flaking starting on the right rear edge of the roof. I'm also missing a jack cover from the right rear.

Also, just this week the alternator pulley decided to start squeaking when the motor is cold.

But whatever, we're all amongst friends

If any one was wondering, an E46 center arm rest bolts right into an E36 It's great because it sits a little higher than the E36 ones do and is more level with the arm rest on the door, plus it has one of those nifty storage compartment in it. Problem is it won't work with the E36 center console and the E46 console will need substantial modification before it will look half way decent. I'll keep you posted and post pics sometime.

The rot spot on my left rear fender goes all the way to the inside of the trunk of I were
Rounding up I'd say it's a 3"x3" section on a non parallel seam... I'll have to cut out the fender and a section of the body in trunk... Not worth in imo

Replacing the oil pan gasket. I've had it with leaking out a quart every two weeks.
