Replaced my vent window gaskets and lower sill trim. Put everything back together and had an insanely annoying squeak coming from the back area of the cabin afterward... It was so unbearable I thought I was going to have to take everything apart again. Fortunately, when I got into the back of the car to start ripping stuff apart, the rear folding seat clicked into place as I leaned upon it, and the squeak disappeared.

Then I took the car for a wash, partly to clean it, but also to check for leaks with the new seals in place. It was bone dry.

Franklyn, try this. Lower the car until the frame touches the ground, then raise it up until it just no longer makes contact with the road surface. Then you can adjust the the ride height by tire pressure.

Pulled up to a light and smoke started coming from my hood. F***

Narrowed it down to VCG. How crucial is it to replace? I'm going to do the vanos in about a month so I would be safe that long right? Obviously check oil level and temp all the time.

Not too important as long as the amount of oil leaking onto the manifolds isn't enough to cause a fire. I wouldn't stress reusing the VCG when you do the vanos if you replace if before though. I did that and didn't have any problem when I did my vanos (VCG was about 1 month old).

Jay im not drunk and i dont know.

I just ran out of threads on my racelands. Its pretty low but i still dont have any issues.

Im pretty damn sure im under 1" to my front lip, good thing its only a 12$ lip right?
I wish i had more tire tuck but i just cant go lower...........yet

I still havent put a skid plate on or took the helper springs out so that will be the next steps in going lower. but might wait still next year beacause at the start of december i has to raise for winter time. Dont wanna risk being in a snow storm with this ride height.

Today I dropped my car off to see if they could figure out why it completely shutdown last night on Blue Hill Ave. in Boston. They found nothing except that the alternator fluctuates between 14.4v and 14.1...ahhh well, what can you do?

It's not too bad. I smell it probably once a week and it's pretty faint. I just don't feel like doing the same thing twice if I'm going to be in there anyways.

Yeah, but Matt is way too nice to his transmission. If he had more fun, that thing would be scattered all over the road.

My transmission is on it's way out. First gear is very picky sometimes, and 5th grinds if you really badly miss the revmatch. Like letting out the clutch from idle speeds on the highway. I'm assuming that's the synchro.

Meh, I shift easy and don't bang gears. I'm surprised it's lasted this long though. Fine with with I want it to last until I can afford a 6 speed.
