Excellent. You're going to love them. I've had my RE Black RTABs in for about a month now, and I think they're fantastic.

I just picked up a set of style 39 (17") MSport wheels. They need some work, but they should look good.

Mine (RE RTAB's) have been in for about 2 weeks and I agree. They are great.

Today and yesterday, I changed both control arms, ball joints, all bushings and both inner and outer tie rods. Pretty tough job but with the right tools, almost anything is possible!

Today, I replaced my fogs with a new pair from DDM Tuning. They actually processed and shipped my order very quickly this time, unlike before when I waited over a month and eventually had to cancel my order out of frustration (and really bad cotomer sevis). I needed a new pair due to a piece of scrap 2x4 falling out of the back of an F150 while on the highway a few weeks back. Luckily it didn't damage something more expensive. If it had, I definitely would have chased the truck down and made them pay for it.

I also removed my steering wheel because the squeaking has turned into a much more significant grinding sound/feeling. In the process, I noticed that my steering column actually has some up and down play. I tried to lube the upper bearing, but it didn't make any bit of difference. I'm heading to the stealer tomorrow to get a new upper bearing to eliminate the play and funny noises. Bah...

Edit: forget the stealer. I just ordered everything (i.e. backup ring, "regular" ring, snap ring, and bearing) from Pelican Parts for $20.00. I'm sure the dealer would have charged twice that price, and everything I ordered was genuine BMW. I wonder what life will be like without a squeaking steering wheel in my E36...

Sorry for the junky cell phone photo. It was getting dark, and well, you know how it goes...

refinished my plastic DOT headlights and reinstalled a few interior bits. Also set up an appointment to get my fresh Yoko rubber on my Contours.

Recently I have done quite a bit, I installed a new condenser fan, new black RE RTABs, a new nose panel, new eBay fogs, new matte black grilles, new shift boot, new shift knob, fixed dead pixels in OBC, changed trans, and diff fluids, replaced my right front fender liner and other plastic pieces due to a family of raccoons, and scheduled to have falken ziex 512s put on but I want to get suspension first and have an alignment completed.

Where can I have the REAR of the car aligned? Only at the stealer? My left rear tire was wearing REALLY bad. It could just be the worn out springs causing horrible camber but I want to make sure before I drop hundreds on tires.

You should ALWAYS only get a 4 wheel alignment. Make sure it's a place that has digital readouts on a computer monitor. They are far more accurate.

As far as I have been told, rear toe is not easily adjusted on our cars and it has to be done by a specialty shop. Is this not true? How do you adjust the rear toe on our cars if not? Unbolting the console on the RTA and shifting it one direction or another?

Exactly that. Moving the rear control arms gives you the adjustability to the rear toe.

Any professional alignment shop can perform a 4-wheel alignment. And yes, rear toe angle is adjusted by moving the RTAB console.

Just rejected on the alignment by two separate shops who perform alignments. "They require specialty equipment and weights."

Tell them to forget the weights. They make no actual difference in the alignment. Personally, I think it's a stealer scam, claiming the car has to be weighted in the seat(s) to correctly align it. That is sufficient to scare off many alighment shops, and it's total crap.

Oh, and today I discovered a field rat had moved in to the engine compartment on the 6er. Fortunately no damage other than a mess.
