The wattage of all the bulbs at O'Reilly was too high, and I didn't want to risk melting anything or blowing fuses, etc. The people in the DIY write-up used a bulb that has many times the wattage of the proper size bulb, which seems like total insanity to me. It was so bright that they resorted to using a Sharpie marker to "tint" the bulb, rather than just getting the correct bulb in the first place.
What's the wattage on the bulb you got from the dealer?
I checked the bulb that I got and it's 9.8w

The OEM bulb is .36 watts, so not even one watt. The bulb that was featured in the DIY write-up that I read was 1.2W, and was so bright that they had to tint the bulb with a permanent marker (never mind the heat risk). 9.8W is absolutely without question FAR too high.

Wow...it doesn't seem that bright in the switch...I guess I'll take it out.

Yep, it's 61138360844. Cost me $2.70 at the dealer.

Yeah, I added it to my project list on pelican parts...$2.50. Not a bad price for a $tealer part.

Yeah, the smart thing to do is to just add it to a list of other items being purchased online, so you aren't paying $5 for shipping on a bulb that only costs a few dollars. Since the dealer is so close to me, I just decided to buy it in person. They know me by name there these days, but in a good way... Plus I get a BMWCCA discount on parts.

Today I realigned the Drivers side door of my coupe, realigned the boot (trunk) lid and re-attached the oversized speaker in the passenger footwell. Oh, and re-affixed the passenger door card.

Man the previous owner/s really made an absolute **** of this car.

Nice choice. I used to have a fairly large system in my last car. I don't find myself missing it at all.

Yeah, I like those wheels, too. They have a little bit of DTM flair to them.

Haha well I had one headlight working for awhile. And if finally annoyed me enough to where I ordered from DDM and prayed I would get the HIDs in a reasonable amount of time and I did!

Today I replaced the small lil gasket, took the car out for a nice drive... Was concerned about how soft the ride quality is, realized (with the help of zemir) I can adjust dampening and it was on the softest setting. Set it to stiffest setting just because and fell in love with the handling.

Tmw have like 3 diff buddies coming over to my place to work on their cars. Have a fuel filter to change, hub stud to replace, tranny fluid to change, and adjust my ride height a tad. Gunna be a nice day off

Got this today. $80 shipped. It was a LOT better than I expected. Really nice machine work, fit perfectly, and it has quite a bit larger stainless steel fasteners than what it shows in these pictures.

Eggcellent!

I shelled out the big bucks for some Bosch Icon wiper blades today to replace my 11 month old pair of frame-less Ancos that started chattering... After getting home and looking around online, it seems they received so-so reviews. We'll see (no pun intended).
