BUYERS BEWARE AT CENTER BMW IN SHERMAN OAKS!!!!!!! I went to test drive a car today at Center BMW in Sherman Oaks/Van Nuys area. I have NEVER been treated so horrible by a salesperson in any field. I had been informed by a couple of other dealerships that Center BMW has a bad reputation when it came to customer service. I unfortunately witnessed it first hand. I had test driven the x5's before. I was going back in to drive the diesel and gas again to make my final decision and buy the car. When I walked in excited, I explained to the salesman that I had been doing a lot of research and wanted to drivel the diesel to see about the lag and drive the gas to see which car was right for me. He responded very rudely with, "You are all out of test drives. You have driven them and know how they drive enough to make a decision." I was floored. He wasn't going to take me on another test drive.

Last I heard, this was still a customer oriented business. I couldn't believe that in making a decision to buy a $60K plus vehicle, I wasn't going to be allowed another test drive. Fortunately his rude attitude and words were said in front of the nice receptionist. When I asked to speak to the General Manager, Darren - the salesman, rushed over to talk to him behind closed doors.
The GM quickly ushered me into a glass office so no other customers could hear then he tried to immediately make excuses for the salesman and save face and say that wasn't the story he heard. That it was basically my word against the salesperson...until he was informed that it wasn't just my word against the salesperson. The receptionist spoke up. Then he had to back peddle and say that is not the policy of the dealership and that I could test drive any vehicle I wanted.

I can say that I would recommend ANY BMW dealership over Center. I am a very nice person that walked in excited to buy a car with a smile. I only expect to be treated nicely and fairly. The salesperson's that treated me so bad is named Darren. I do not recommend anyone to buy a car from him.

My wife and I are getting ready to place an order for a 335is Coupe. She wants Le Mans Blue, but we've never actually seen the color in person. We've been to every San Diego dealer and none of them have a 3-series in Le Mans Blue She thinks that she saw a Le Mans Blue coupe, 335i or 335is on her way to work last week (Westbound SR56).

If you have a late-model Le Mans Blue 3-series, preferably a coupe, please PM me and one or both of us will arrange to go to wherever you are to see it. Our interior choice is Gray, so a Gray interior would be a plus.

Thanks to everyone who replied. We got to see a large Le Mans Blue color sample and compared it to Interlagos Blue on an M3, Deep Sea Blue on a 328i Sedan and Montego Blue on a a used 3-series sedan and we're definitely getting the Le Mans Blue!

We just put down a deposit on a 335is Coupe for May 12 European Delivery!

Hi guys, first post.. but I have to know more about this car!!

I spotted a woman (with male passenger) driving down regents rd. in san diego / la jolla area.. they were in a car marked 340i which leads me to believe there was a v8 swap done on this car.. it sounded GODLY, nothing you'd expect a bmw to sound like, maybe more like a mustang.

please help me find more information about this car / mods!! thanks

So it's FINALLY summer and that means it's time for a meet!

This time we're gonna try something new that should help motivate more people to come, stay, clean up their cars and socialize. Everyone who rolls up to the meet will get a number card to put on their dash and a judging sheet to write in your votes.

That's right there will be awards! Classes are as followed:

- Best 4 Door
- Best 2 Door
- Best Stance
- Best Function
- Best Of Meet

So invite your crews, teams, friends, etc and lets get some REAL meets started here on the Central Coast.

hi fellow members! My warranty just ended and I need to DIY Crankcase Vent Valve replacement. Anyone know where in the LA or OC area would have a fault reader/reset? I would like to reset my warring light after the fix.
