any local meets prior to Mfest and Bimmerfest in SoCal coming up? I know these two aren't in SoCal, but I want to meet the community and share war stories.

Hi everyone. Any meets along PCH in Orange County?

What's up guys. Been away from here from awhile now working on school and such before figuring out my next car purchase. Living in the Northridge area now and I finally decided on my next car. I'm pretty set on looking for a 335i. So let the research begin and hopefully I can get to a meet or two and explore what these cars are about.

Coming from the heavily modded Subie scene means i'll probably end up doing some performance mods at some point to so i'm really itching to see what these cars are capable of.

Wow....just joined Bimmerfest but apparently the forums are dead.....all the subtopics say there's over 1,000 viewers currently looking but I guess it's either fake & over-exaggerated, spambots, or non-members.
Guess it's time to go back to MFESTForums....

A post in the thread finally after 3 months

Just got pulled over on the 60E between 7th Avenue and Fullerton.
CHP said tint was illegal, MFEST windshield decal was too, no front plate.
.....and speeding.
Got off with just a warning and fixit ticket for the front plate though.
Respect goes a long way.

I used to have it on the tow hook, but took it off altogether and had nothing in front for the past 3-5 months.
As for tint, I have no idea. I've personally never looked into it since both E46s I've had were already tinted by their previous owners - this one was done rather lightly, mine's barely a shade darker than 0 but the officer said to leave the front completely untinted. Said only the rears are acceptable for you to do anything you want with them.

Good thing he let you off lightly. My fronts are pretty dark and I don't do a licesne plate frame, still haven't got stopped. I'm sure it's just a matter of time. Did he notice you by speeding or just by the few mods?

What he told me was that usually you won't be stopped for minor things like that since around my area at least, there's a lot of new and/or luxury cars and most don't roll out of the dealership with front license plate mounts/brackets already on.
He said he noticed me speeding but I feel like it was more because of the plate (JKO_ZHP) because I was only following the pace of traffic.
