To be honest I prefer the older body style. It seems like the new ones lack character. I looked at a few 96's and decided on the classic late 80's model. Just looks better to me. But that's the beauty of owning a bimmer only the owner has to like it.

thanks man. its getting there. sitting right now with a blown upper radiator hose. making a large order with pelicanparts as we speak and doing a full blown tune up this week. oil change, trans service, plugs, wires, fuel pump, o2 sensor, and every filter on the car. except the cabin filter. forget that. haha. should be a good week!

yea it actually is. alot more expensive than i thought. about 60 bucks just for a radiator hose! but here is how she sits now:

sad day. and of course it would happen right after i fill up the tank to the brim with premium. but its all good. forcing me to do the tune up so thats a good thing. she's been calling for parts for a while. Just havent had the time or the $$$

Ya of course. Always the way. Funny thing is I love my car so much I don't mind putting money into her.
What year is yours? 90?

Ya no doubt. 89 great year lol.
Mine is not lowered but the skirts and rims give it that tuner look. It's a real trick to tow though. I needed a tow the day I bought her. Took the guy two hours to do it without ripping off my effects. Flat beds from now on.

haha. i hear ya man. i cant even drive my car up on normal ramps so i dont trust anyone to tow my car. my brothers bmw is lowered also (e36) and his breaks down all the time so we have made a custom ramp for our trailer and thats what we tow our cars on if we ever break down. grab the ford f350 and the trailer and go pick up the car. very handy to not have to pay to have our cars towed. mine has yet to be on the trailer though.

You are fortunate to have a trailer. I had to get my car on a flat bed and the guy just about ripped my front lip off. Meanwhile I'm pulling my hair out while grinding my teeth from how bad it hurt me! haha

Everytime I've had my car towed I always get back and something is broken. When I got it towed back to my house last time they broke the back window seal off. I wish I had a trailer to mine instead of paying $100 to get it back broken.

Stock 1994 540I lip/Spoiler (Only came on the 1994 540I)

If you look closer, You will see brake ducts behind the bumper through the fog light holes. It attatches to the lip/spoiler. Fortunately the spoiler and ducts were not damaged in the accident, They would be hard as hell to find.

1995 530i, purchased just about a month ago. So far, I've worked on mechanical bits - new Brembo rotors and Akebono pads up front being the biggest deal. It's got some minor issues, but seems to run strong and shift smoothly. If I keep it (blasphemy, I know! ), it will get paint, tint, wheels and perhaps a bit of lowering.
