As for the not much to look at, they do tend to look "dated" dont they, but, a nice ACS kit, a drop, set of mpars, set of clears all round and a HID conversion, OMFG old skewl awesomeness.

I drive an E65 as well, but to be honest I really cannot decide some times what to drive, as I drive both cars on a regular basis, I dont believe in parking cars off, and my E34 has not dropped me once.

They are fantastic cars, and I'll never trade my E34 for love nor money, even if it is 16 years old The E65 is going to get traded soon for an E60 550, and I'll prob sell that one again before I consider getting rid of my E34
I feel the same way +1

You guys wanna hear the messed up way I got my 530? That 700 is a ridiculously good deal.

I ended up getting a old work van from a tv station that was going to junk it... it was a 1990 and had 50k miles on it.. everything was brand new in it.. not me though since I was just getting rid of my IS300

I had to pay $50 to tow this van back because it sat for a year... shopped around on craigslist and ended up finding my 530i... traded straight up for it. So technically it cost me $50 but if you dont count the tow it was all free... sometimes things happen... now if I could just find a pot of gold the same way..

Quick update on doors, here is how they came out.. still drying though giving them a full 42 to dry before I attempt messing with them. Also the rest of the plastic on the seats are sprayed.

"stock" or Not?

What rims do you guys prefer, personally i love the stock rims, which I have just found out might be from a 740. Car drives so smooth with them on but its a tight fit and dont want to screw up my struts..

Thoughts??

I say stock. It retains the "classic" BMW style opposed to the "tuner" styled rims

Thanks! I believe the steering wheel is the M Tech II.

Just lowered my E34 over the weekend. Vogtland springs FTW. Style 5s are next.

UPDATE ON MY 89 535i....

well i previously had a problem with my car burning quite a bit of oil....which i had narrowed down the spot where i was getting the leak and it was coming from my valve cover. bottom left bolt closest to the firewall was snapped off and had no cap so there was no pressure on that side of the valve cover so it would leak massive oil out of that area. so i ordered my valve cover gasket and installed a new stud bold (m6x40) and a rataining nut (could not find a cap from any autoparts store, cap and stud bold are on theyre way to mi casa) and walla...no more smell, no more burning oil. as i was installing everything back i also found out that the rubber boot that connect the MAF to the intake manifold was broken around the clamp...so i ordered that as well, definetly a vaccum leak.

so my car runs tons nicer now and hopefully ill be getting those parts in soon so i can replace them ASAP. I also found 4 BBS rims and tires on craigslist for $100 dollars. tires were not that great but for almost perfect condition rims, couldent beat it. i will post some pics later for you guys, let me know what you guys think. I also got my bimmerfest.com decals in...will post some pics of that as well.

just wanted to update you guys on my progess. still have a few things to do to the car but im taking it as my new foudn hobby.

thanks,
robert

She was an 03 Mitsubishi Galant GTZ. I have owned 3 but this one was the one that I really got into and fell in love with.

Mods:
Drop - Tien S-Tech springs (2.0 all) with KYB AGX shocks and struts
Braking/Handleing - R1Concepts slotted/drilled rotors, Megan Racing front upper strut tower bar and rear lower tie bar
Custom intake
3ARacing exhaust cannister (gave a really nice tone, not raspy at all)
That's not counting the engine and standart trans swap. Did all the work myself.

Pics:

And then my sig.

Eeh. My girlfriend said she'd kill me if I mod it lol.

I talked her into "letting me" (because she knows she doesnt really have a say) get smileys, drop it 1.4inches, get EUDM tail lights (or stock looking aftermarket ones), and getting the EUDM rear wondow visor.

And I love modding cars. Apart from the mods, I plan on for the most part restoring the interior and keeping it as a daily for when I get another Galant.

I put up pictures of my E34 on page 11... But for an update, I had it towed out to my dads friends' shop on August 1st... And since then I've been playing phone tag with them, To save money I allowed afew selective aftermarket parts to be put on, Like the trim pieces on the bumper cover, the corner light and I think the nose panel (might regret that one). The headlight, fog lights (both), bumper cover, fender and hood are OEM (The hood is 2nd hand OEM). I'm not 100% satisfied with the outcome, The paint looked good and seems like it matches (but i'm not 100% sure on that as it I seen it in the shop and the rest of the car is dirty)... My complaints are the gap between the nose panel and hood (they'll try to fix that) and the fitment of the aftermarket corner lamp... But I think that might just be the corner lamp which i can just go to pick and pull and take one from there so i'm not too concerned on that one.
