Hey guys new to the forum's here.
Also new to BMW's in general.

Im from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. Lived most my life with Nissan's and just recently sold my Honda Ruckus.

2008 Honda Ruckus


This is the scooter I sold to purchase my BMW. I bought it 2 provinces over in Alberta, then drove it back to Manitoba.

Car is pretty mint. Came with 132,xxx kms. Only rust spots, cig burn in passenger seat and paint flaking/chips. Other than that its in very good condition.

And yes its right hand drive.















First things first, I want to get the car safetied so I can register it. Been driving with a temp insurance for now.

Got the brake light switch issue fixed, along with rewire the license plate light. Now to work on the suspension and the valve ticking.

Pretty sure mine is Diamond Schwartz Metallic. Yours?

well here are the new rims i got for my 89 535i. the wheels i had on before are on page 16 or 17 i believe.

you guys like the new look or the star chromed rims betteer? let me know. i personally love the new look. I cant remember what style they are from BBS but ill have to look it up when i do my rotation. also got new rubber with them. 225/60/HR15

It looks nice Robert. Do those E39 wheels run good for you? I know they have to have a hub centric ring and sometimes people get some shimmy with them.

Hey bmr lvr..... Well when I got the rims with not so great of rubbber on them I had a bad shimmy lol real bad. So I went to big brand tires and got two new Cooper cs4 touring tires for $206 and the shimmy is gone. I do get a little vibration and shaking but because of my rear tires which I will be replacing in about a week and soon as some Ben franklins role in. But when I do replace my rear tires I will definetly let you guys know of any issues.

Next thing up is brembo slotted rotors with ebc pads for all four. Yay!!! :-)

Here is Caroline.

She's Oxfordgrun over Pergament (I think. Don't tell her I'm not sure.) She got new shoes a couple of months ago. They're staggered Borbet Type Es (17x8 with 235/45s on front, 17x9.5 with 255/40s on rear) painted in an anthracite gray.

I've had her for almost two years, and bought her bone stock with 76k miles on the clock. She now sits on H&R springs with Bilstein Sport struts, but is otherwise unmodified. Short term plans include an electric smart fan (once I find the right kit), a 3.15 LSD from an E32, and a 6-speed transmission conversion.

GregA mine was custom painted but it's a little darker.

I just picked this up for $900.00 Was getting hot,replaced waterpump only to find out it was fine
but it had a plastic impeller so needed replacing anyway,
ended up needing to be bled LOL.
Now it is near perfect.LOVE IT!

Springs, flowmaster and header, wheels, intake, chip, brakes, lights, just cuz it needs it.

so what makes a car JDM or not?
I know Japan imported RHD and LHD BMW's over...
complex has a LHD import while mine is RHD import

The JDM imports are easy to pick out. They have the licence plate holder because the holes for the JDM plates are different then the rest of us.

I need to get up early one morning and re-take those photos. I think the shadow messes up the photos.

Here are a few pics of my "New" 1991 525i. I got it for $800 bucks. Needs an exhaust and hopefully just a tune up (its misfiring) other than that, some TLC and its good to go.

Your battery is in your engine bay?? Mine is under my rear seat on the passenger side.
