This isn't polysci - logic has no place in OT.

No, we get it. Since so many more people die in car crashes there's no reason to be concerned with the rate of plane crashes.

Next time someone posts ANYTHING about someone else dying, I'm going to say the same **** to them, "People die in many many other ways," "How many people died in car accidents today," "People die everyday," "Dems r da brakes." Of course if I say something like that in someone else's thread, well we all know what would happen. If there is some story behind the death well then everyone gets so upset but if it's 400 nameless people on an airplane no one gives a ****. Human nature, you gotta love it. :thumbsdown

No, but isn't it funny that percentage wise there are probably more plane crashes per flights than there are terrorists per people but guess what makes everyone so scared on the front page news every other day and what doesn't?

I don't know, if I was on the plane and they announced that, the first thought that would go through my head was that someone from bimmerfest was messing with me, if that turned out to not be true I would be crying like a baby but one thing I know for sure is that if that happened to me the airline would be paying my shrink bills for a loooooooong time and if this sentence is gets any looooooonger it would be a run-on sentance if it isn't so already then I don't really know what would constitute a run-on sentence because if this doesn't then I suppose nothing will but then again every time you think you're the only one to do something you find out that someone else already did but I'm not sure if that's true in this case.

What if it was Lindsay Lohan AS your pilot and she was flying the plane using a "Piloting for Dummies" book and snorting cocaine while drinking hard liquor.....all at 25,000 feet?

Well, if we are already at 25,000 feet, I'll get the cockpit with her to have some fun and try to get some pie from her since we are going to die.

That would be no problem. If she was sober and trying to read an advanced piloting book then I would be truly concerned.
