Pissing people off with my SC

So the neighbor said something about "the whistling sound" (Superchager) my car makes at 5:30 in the AM.

I dont think its that bad...but sure sounds good to me

Check it out for yourself.

A little dark but you get the idea.

You're kidding, right? I'd put a .50 cal round into your engine if you were my neighbor!

It's the exhaust, stupid! Start it up, move it out. Don't let it run.

Hmm, sounds like it needs WD40.

Well there is a loud whistle only on start-up, but that exhaust is kinda loud. I agree with edjack though, the best move would be to drive away right after starting. That's what the manual recommends too.

defenetly change the exhaust... or get a honda civic or a beater car that you should drive to work at 5:30 in the morning without any exhaust + stuff done to it... you'll save gas

Hmmmm. So I take it most of you have never had anything with aftermarket exhaust on it.

If it makes you guys feel any better, my house will be done Mar 10 and then Ill have a nice garage across town to park her in.

edjack... I assure you...im a much better shot then you are. Theres nothing to do here in this dump they call New Mexico but buy guns (so easy...I walk out the door the same day with any gun), and number 2...go shooting.

Heres my impression of edjack if I was his neighbor....

New Mexico = "open carry" state

As for driving away right away....I had to get my camera

I'm with the neighbours... you want to drive a car that's that noisy, move to the country-that's why rednecks live there!

Interesting that they complained about the whistle (I'm assuming just the brief squeal at startup), not the deep bass rumble... not much you can do about that.

Nuff said! Difference is my neighbors haven't said a word about my exhaust. Maybe cuz its not as loud as yours.

You have to respect your neighbors. They are the reason I didn't delete the center resonator on my 540 and why I push my CBR1000 to the sidewalk before starting it up at 5:30 am

I would smile every time I heard that start up, but idling for a while would be rude. Wait until the SAS stops running and go (20-30 seconds). I have a Suzuki SV1000 with Jardine cans and its LOUD. I think people don't appreciate it's awesomeness in my court... but my neighbor with a GSXR600 and a GP pipe is even worse!

Whats wrong with bananas? I like bananas

I assure you...it is much quieter once the SAS shuts off. I recorded at that point to get the max loudness. I do get a lot of compliments on the way it sounds from all kinds of people (old, young, ricers, american car guys). It sounds great in person.

Im supprised how some of you are so quick to judge. I have'nt agreed with everthing Iv read on the board, but I was'nt rude about it....only if they were rude first (edjack).

Some of you need to check your attitude.

A Borla ProXS. I don't remember the model #, but I do know it's a 2.5 inch inlet/outlet. I think it was intended more for Japanese imports than Euro imports, but I liked the sound so I used it for my baby. Btw, I also removed the Y-resonator and that also made a significant difference.

Jason's car is not THAT LOUD! Some of you are making a big to do about nothing. There is even another car driving by as a point of reference for how loud/or quiet it actually is. Jason if you're happy with your car the way it is I'm happy for you. Screw everyone else, they don't have to drive it.
