I think it should be moved around and not kept all in one place . I mean one year it could be held at the staples center or where they held the olympics in 85' hell it could be set at the Angels Stadium but for now i think it will be fine like john says . Besides a few of my friends were parked in the emergency lane when b-fest was let out, we ran something over merged to check it out no more than 3 minutes when a Highway Patrol unit pulled rite behind us and instead of rendering us service he impounded my friends car cuz, he did not have his liscense on his person . You know that was totally un called for and to boot made him , his wife and CHILD walk on the freeway to the next off ramp . that my friends is nonsense at its best cops were all over giving tickets on the way and in return out of the fest.

I'm going to seriously making the "pilgrimage" to santa barbara every year. The trip over to SB from LA is 90% of the fun. Sucks for us LA people.

Haha no? Last year I had plenty of time to make it there and back. School didnt get out till like a month later haha

I'm sure the Utah contingency would have no issues in attending a BF in Vegas in the future!

As I mentioned in a previous thread, yeah, it's sad that its not in SB but it sounds as this was thrown back in Jon's lap real quick. What else can one do? Hell, it's hard enough to organize a small meet or party, never the less thousands of BMW's. While not the most popular, I guess it will hold us all.

Any luxury hotels nearby that any of you locals could recommend?

This is disappointing, I will have tint and no front plate and I don't want problems with the POlice(i.e. fines, etc...). I have always wanted to go to Bimmerfest, this was going to be my first year and I wanted to see how nice SB sounds. Now I am undecided and if I do go I may leave my Bimmer at home, which will suck.

I think I answered this somewhere already, but here's the deal. We could have a show in Ventura, however not in the Spring/early Summer time frame. I keep reading all of these posts, people complaining, and they don't realize that we almost didn't have an event this year. Please understand that we care about the event, and make decisions that are what we believe in the best interest of the most people. I know that we can't please everybody, but at least I would hope some might be excited that we are putting together a great show for you all...

That is a lousy reason to not come to Bimmerfest. Each of those infractions are mere fix-its. $40 if...and that's IF you get pulled over. Nothing on your record. Drive with your front windows down. Screw your plate on the front while you drive, and take it back out when you park your car at Bimmerfest for show, and screw it back on for the drive home. If you aren't afraid to drive with those things every day then why would it change that one day?

Seems like people's excuses for complaining are becoming more and more lousy. The guys at Bimmerfest work their tails off to bring us the best event of the year for bimmer fans, and people are pointing out the smallest negatives......at least havea good reason to complain

thank you for an awesome Bimmerfest last year. it was my first time, and now i think im spoiled. I'm originally from SoCal but live in UT(only been here 5 years)...

this may be to late to ask but... have you tried the San Diego polo club??? its right off the 5fwy in between Solana Beach and Del Mar beach... it rivals SB polo club for distance to the beach, hotels and same atmosphere. This club is much bigger than the SB club. I have played many soccer tournaments there (surf cup) and if i remember right, they have about 3-4 BIG fields.
