$60 for the bracket and drop $150 on any Garmin + $12 for a USB hardwire kit

$2000!!!! No way.

This should be no more than $500 shipped. Prob a lot less.

Roughly $1500 USD if you piece it together. I'd recommend you get something else though. I know the idea of having an OEM nav installed is pretty sweet (maybe not to some), but there are better I'm sure.

I pieced mine together and although it looks nice installed, I seldom use it. Some days I have the screen lowered. As long as it plays my music i'm fairly content .

comon guys, please stay cool.

the retrofit cost this price when you buy it in a BMW garage and they install it or you.
if not you can buy the whole set DIY for much less (second hand obviously)
I did mine for less then 300 euros with all BMW OEM Parts + 1 day install + Navcoder licence and cable extra

that is all,

that is all,
I paid $2k for the parts USED. 300 Euros is a STEAL.

You need:
Screen (used $450):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-CID-NAVI...item5adf32a6e0

Radio tuner ($used $575):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/BMW-CID-NAVI...item5adf31934f

MKIV DVD drive ($600 Used):
http://www.ebay.com/itm/bmw-MKIV-nav...item1e679a141c

There is NO WAY to do the OEM setup without all those pieces. That doesn't include the retrofit cable for $250 either.

If you want to do something OEM looking, that's aftermarket, Dynavin has a system for the X3 now:
http://www.dynavin.com/products/product_dnv_e83.php

I believe its around $800 or so.

Sorry man, the Screen is 150 euros on ebay +25 shipping - not 450usd
and I already had the MK4 with the business GPS (if you read my message with attention, try one more time! )
so no need for me to buy a CID neither
and the cable retrofit is 120 euros but you can find it around 100 euros in a BMW garage
(not 250 usd - please cool down and don;t say such an enormous b...sh...)

For some reason they never list the price.

You can catch them on skype or email them for a price with shipping. They usually get back within 24 hours with emails.

http://www.audiosources.net/contact.asp

These units if like most run IGO8 software. You can find them all over the place and they can be customized.

http://artwork-igo8.blogspot.com/sea...r%20collection

I wouldn't be surprised if this was @$400 shipped.

I did a simliar unit for my Jetta TDI and it was truly an easy removal, fit and plug and play. Unfort, I haven't done this with the X3. I'm sure a local shop can do it for a reasonable price.

the GPS includes all the connection to plug and play
1) you have to remove the CD charger to free the AUX input in the OEM radio
2) you can connect the IPOD in the aux line in to the GPS but you cannot control the GPS or the IPOD with the buttons in the car (that is not an integration)

but it is cheap and easy to install
1) open the dash board and take out the CID Radio
2) plug the adaptor
3) plug the 12v on the GPS
4) et voila

I prefer integration so I made a retrofit GPS pro
cheers,

Without even knowing their price, I would guarantee that the one directly from Audiosources would be cheaper.

correct.

the word "Profesional" mean the GPS has the screen separated from the CID - 7inch screen where you have the map shown

so for me I needed only 2 BMW parts, the OEM screen and the cable retrofit!
I use the CID Business (so I have actually 2 screens in the car)

the one under discussion here is the Dynavin from AudioSource
see here >> http://www.dynavin.co.uk/product_dnv_e83.php

the Dynavin costs actually more than my own install (including the price of the NavCoder and the cable) but, as i said, I already had the GPS business in the car
for someone switching from the OEM radio (without GPS) to GPS Touch screen, the Dynavin is the cheapest option

cheers

Then why pay a reseller when you can buy direct for less?

Nope...That's for 1 unit, not 1000.

Buying from a mddle man is just wasting money IMO when you can buy direct and have a few hundred bucks.

Just to prove it, I'll email them inquiring about buying 1 unit and will post it here.
