But I cheated. I shipped my car on the cargo ship to Tacoma last December and I've been in L.A. all winter. So I really only drove 1100 miles to get here.
But I've managed to put 13000 miles on my car in SoCal.

I did ok I think. I had on highway tires which aren't so good for auto-x but it was a blast anyway. I know I beat a Maserati at least lol.

Three more days until I head towards San Diego to go pick up my newly rebuilt recaros from Aardvarc racing, I can't wait for some non beat up front seats.

I'll be hitting the LA auto-x the day after Bimmerfest as well.

I know, the weather in Fairbanks is SOOO much better in the winter than in SoCal! I'm obviously crazy.
Yup, I do remember meeting you in Anchorage. Very cool that you made it down here. Hopefully will see you at the autocross on Sunday, I didn't sign up for it because I didn't think I'd still be in California, but will see if any spots are left.

I'd love to, but I won't be down there on Thursday Morning, I'd need to leave here tomorrow and find somewhere to stay wednesday night to do such a thing.

My current plan is to take off here thursday morning and get down there thursday evening in Corona where I'll be staying the night.

It's going to have a layer of bugs on it once you arrive in SoCal, so you should probably plan on washing it again the day before the show.

True. Although I havn't got any bugs from the bay area, this place is soo clean barely any dust on my car after a week of sitting outside. At home a layer of dust has already settled back down on the car before you get done drying it.

gotta love all that glacial dust blowing around Anchorage. If its not that, its pollen.

Way to go, I head towards pasadena in the morning. Then San diego on Friday morning and then back to pasadena friday afternoon.

Just got into Pleasanton a little while ago. I'm staying not to far from Nordstrom's so I'll be there very early .

I made into Corona today, Got sunburned while driving, I should have left the roof on to avoid that...

Tomorrow I head to San Diego for my new seats and I'll see everyone at the Hotel tomorrow afternoon/evening. I'll be easy to spot the pale white guy sporting a sunburn....I'm sure the car will be easy to spot as well, being it will likely be the only(or one of very few) E-21 Baur around.

I can't compete with Alaska and Brazil... Atlanta... about 2,000 miles. This year I flew though. I am hoping to tow the E30 with the X5 next year... Should be fun road trip. Will have to start planning that when I get home this year... Need a year to plan that I think.

I made it to San Diego got my seats and now I'm at the hotel.

Yea I'm here......now in three days I get to go 3600 miles back home.

Well I'm sitting in Hillsboro, Oregon in a fellow e-21ers living room already 1000+ miles into my trek home. Yesterday I went from Corona (where I also stayed at a fellow E-21ers home) to Mt. Shasta where I set up the tent and camped.

Today it rained from about 30 seconds after I got the tent put away and it's still raining.

I had a great time a Bimmerfest, and it was nice to meet everyone. I met so many people I am having a hard time rembering faces, names, screen names argg....

Well even though I'm headed home the entire route won't be the same, so I'll have a few more pictures I'm sure. Instead of taking the 100+ mile long Frasier canyon in BC i'll run the 4 lane freeway to camloops BC and cut over to the top of the canyon and go up the rest of the way the same way I came down.

So far I've gone around 5200 miles since I left home, and still have about 2500 more to go. By tomorrow afternoon I'll be back in Canada and out of touch for several days as I go across the less civilized areas of Canada. I'll post up more photos once I get some internet, or I get home and have a chance to sort through all the stuff I took pictures and videos of.
