Seat foam needed for 525e

Hi All

I have been on with my 525e for the last 6 years now its time for the seats there in good condition but the seat base on the drivers and passenger are as hard as hell

Can replacement foam be got or is it best to just get a good m5 interior and upgrade

Simon

It depends on what you want to spend and what you want out of it. You can look up the foam/upholstery part numbers on realoem.com and then search it out on google. I do know you can buy it. Or you can go to an auto upholstery shop and they will custom cut new foam for your seats. Its not cheap but will be great.

I was faced with the same options when I first got mine. I went with an upgrade. I put in seats from a 94 540

Many thank for replying I have managed to find a drivers set off ebay with good foam from a newer 87 car I'm planning in stripping the seat and using the foam to remodel one for the passenger seat I'm trying my hardest to keep it as standard as i can but as i build custom classics i will end up going mad lol

Thanks again

If you're keeping it stock (standard), have an upholstery shop redo the seat. It will be more comfortable and maybe they can find the proper density of foam to suit your "needs".
