2011 x5 packages and options w/ prices

New poster, but i've been lurking around for a while...I ordered my 2011 x35d today and got all of the packages and options w/ prices from my dealer. I ordered through the military sales program so the msrp may be different but the packages in the past have cost the same as the dealers in the states so it should be a good comparison tool. We have a build date in april and should take delivery here in germany sometime around 15 June.

my order:
2011 x35d- cost: 44590

3rd row seat- 1700
comfort access- 1000
roof rails- 100
heated rear- 350
sport activity package-2200 (+950) for 20" y-spoke 214 upgrade
includes:
-sports leather steering wheel
-sports package
-sport seats
-shadowline exterior trim
-anthracite headliner

cold weather package-900
-heated steering wheel
-heated front seats
-retractable headlight washers
premium package-3400
-power adjustable steering column
-power tailgate
-universal garage door opener
-auto dimming mirros
-lumbar support
-storage package
-digital compass miror
-ambiance lighting
-bmw assist
-nevada leather
rear climate-900
-rear manual side window shades
-4zone automatic climate control
-privacy glass
technology package-3100
-rear view camera with top view
-park distance control
-nav. system
-online information services
-voice command
-real time traffic information

I ordered mine with titanium silver and oyster interior.

other options/ packages i didn't get that were available were:

automatic high beams- 250
lane departure- 950
side view camera-300
head up display-1300
rear seat entertainment-1700
smartphone integration-150
adaptive drive-3500
space saver spare-150
running boards-300
multi contour seats-1300
active ventilated seat package-2100
-active seat for driver
-front ventilated seats
-multi-contour seats
-perforated nevada leather

That is all pertaining to the diesel, if you would like the price sheets for the 35d as well as the 35i (all 3 trims) and the 50i i can scan them if someone can tell me how to make them show up in the post. hope this information is helpful.

I've already got them in PDF which I can quickly post if anyone wants them.

I've been considering the same thing and everyone seems to really like the comfort seats. I personally would have added the sideview cameras for the extra $300.

Two month delivery doesn't sound bad. It took that long to get my first X3 from Austria!

What is the actual cost of the vehicle with all the options etc, that -you- are paying. Those options are the MSRP cost, wholesale/invoice pricing is about ~10% less for each option/package. I'm not sure how that factors into the military discounts. Definately go for the multi-contour seats, highly recommend them for a sport package with runflats, the ride comfort is day/night.

One other thing, there are 4 colors and 1 option that will change the production cycle of the x5s from 4/10 to 5/10. Side view camera, red vermillion, platinum bronze, carbon black, and lastly jet black. Hope that helps with your decision about side view camera. I'm in no hurry to pick up my vehicle, and my wife insisted on side view camera, I think for 300 its worth it. In Europe if you are dealing with alot of narrow streets and blind corners, definately go for them.

The biggest difference when you buy through the military channels is the base price. My 2011 X5 35i Sport Activity MSRP is $54,100, I'm paying $47,000 plus we don't pay all of the dealer mark up fees, prep and admin fees. If register overseas, when you come back depending what state you register it in, you won't pay taxes neither as long as you're not a resident of that state. The options are at the regular cost, but it's not that much of a difference. Overall, my saving is about $8K on my vehicle. Good thing for me is my BMW will be delivered to my BMW dealer in Augusta at no additional cost and they are required to do the prep and everything else just like any other BMW. I do have the pricing, but it is for the military side. You can see my build posted, 2011 X5 35i Sport Activity, just haven't determined the color combo yet and if I want the multi contour seats or not for another $900. Any input on the seats would be appreciated! Thanks

Here are the PDFs. As I understand it the prices include shipment to the US. Delivery and paperwork, at least for delivery here, are ~$620.00.

angel - I'm not sure that your comment about taxes is true. I believe we're exempt from paying import taxes but you're still liable for sales tax on the current book value of the vehicle when you register. I don't remember if it's trade or retail value. So, find a state with a low sales tax or you'll be writing a fat check at registration time. I could be wrong but that's how I understand the tax implications.

Angel, if you are getting the Sport Package, definately opt for the Multi-Contour seats, those wheels, esp the upgraded rims are on runflats, the ride can be a little rough. I've had x5's in the past and 3 of my siblings also drive them. The seats are well worth the investment for ride comfort.

HT417, I have brought back three vehciles out of Germany and have never paid sales tax when I went to register them. Now, it all depends on the state, at least in GA your good to go if your not a resident of that state. Oh yeah, I also had them register in Germany under the military for at least 6 months. That is the document that shows the vehicle was register already. Again, it depends on the state that you plan to register it in. Hope this helps....

ARJUNO: the new 2011 35i Sport Activity does not come with the sports package. It already has the 20" Y-Spoke 214 style wheels. I plan to check the seats out when I go home for leave and see the difference, hope the dealership has two X5s with both seats. Thanks

ARJUNO: I stand corrected; the "Sports Package" is already included in the 35i Sports Activity model. I was looking at the separate packages which are: Active Ventilated Seat Pkg, Convenience Pkg, Cold Weather Pkg, M Sport Pkg, and the Technology Pkg. Thanks

It helps a lot, thanks. My only experience up to now has been in Virginia and I paid 4% sales tax there.

This answers the question, the M Package will NOT be available with the 35D.

About the military sales program, is that something you can only take advantage of if you're overseas or is it available stateside as well?

I'm pretty sure you have to either be deployed, stationed OCONUS, or TDY OCONUS to be eligible. Otherwise, BMW would go out of business giving those discounts and free maintenance too!!

my 35D MUST have active steering - anybody knows a way?

hi,

thank you for posting the pdf file for the 2011 MY. while available in germany, active steering is not an option for the US. does anybody know a way to get around that?
also, the pdf file lists specific numbers for many items that are always part of packages - is there any way to order them without the package?

thank you very much for any advice.

holschu, los angeles

I wonder why Comfort Access is $500 on a 3series and $900 on an X5?

BTW- Sounds like a sweet ride. Good Luck with her!

That's because the sensors for the CA only apply to the two front doors on the 3 series. The X5 has the CA sensors on all four doors.

Five -- CA works on the hatch on the X5 also.

Yep, that's false. The multi-contour seats can definitely be had independent of the active ventilated ones (a P1 option: 456 specifically). The price varies dependent on whether or not you ordered it in conjunction w/ the sport activity package (ZAP).
