F01 8 Speed?

Is there any confirmation that BMW is going to put the 8 Speed into the F01 for '11 or '12 models?
Thanks.

The ActiveHybrid has it on BMWUSA. The dealer gave a verbal that it will be standard for '11.

My dealer (BMW Munich) also told me that the 8 speed would be standard for the F01/F02 in November 2010.

If it's like the other first Gen anything, from BMW (or anyone else) steer clear. Unless you can live without the car for several days/weeks... Just my 2 cents.. Rick

Hi Rick, I would agree but the 5 GT and the 760 already have the 8 speed. The F10 has it. So I don't see any risk if you get it end of this year in a smaller 7.
