car electricity shut off for a momment when going uphill

Hi everybody it has been long time since writing here because of marriage arrangement

This problem I'm having is somewhat weird as randomly sometimes when I'm going uphill the car and dashboard gauges go off for an instant and come back on , some times when driving randomly the car will stop responding to gas pedal and hesitates for several second and then everything just returns to normal , I had these 2 symptoms before but it ended when I had to change my faulty ECU so I'm suspecting the same problem again but the problem is that this ECU is the third one I replace since I bought the car 15 months ago

So what the hell is going on?? I'm so sad cause i love this car and I don't want to sell it because it just burns ECUs and I don't know how to stop it

ANY suggestion would be greatly appreciated...

Update:

The car now is increasingly behaving like that when i press the gas pedal it won't rev up but actually like it looses power and this happens randomly (not when the fuel pump is hot after a long ride) i wonder if anybody is going to answer me or should i go to another forum ??

Check this out:

http://www.bimmerfest.com/forums/sho...rument+cluster

I fought my cluster, connections, grounds etc for a while. I replaced the cluster and it hasn't happened since. Apparently its something within the circuit board that shorts out. I tore my old one apart and couldn't find the problem, but I read that it has been going on since the late e30's until about the end of OBDI e36's. Search around for some good info on removing the cluster, you don't need to remove the steering wheel if its pointed straight.

The DME or ECM or whatever its called isn't getting water in it right? Do you have a manual or auto? Maybe this will help:

UPDATE:

I went today to 2 ECU and electronic systems specialists they are very known here to be great experts in ECU and this stuff , the first one told me that my ECU is getting hot because of 2 things the first thing is that the ECU is not properly inserted as it should be in it's place which causes its heat not to dissipate in the car body (the ECU proper place is in intimate contact with the car body mine was hanging in the air) and second it could be either fuel injectors or coil packs that drawing a lot of electrical current causing the ECU to overheat.

The second tech told me right away that it's either fuel injectors or coil packs faulty and drawing a lot of electricity which leads to ECU overheating.

I don't know what to do now, I think I will put my ECU in a proper manner (slide it in it's place) and wait for something to happen...what do you think guys?

I have to add that no one of the 2 tech guys told me why it loses all power momentarily when going uphill or up a bridge.

I will keep this thread updated as much as possible until i find a solution (I hope) so that it could help someone in the future.
