Yes, get the honda and do dumbass things to it. Like chrome wheels, under car blue neons, racing stickers, and throw in some random black outs. Ideally the sticker should be black on completely blacked out windows. Once you have graduated from that, then get a BMW. Get the v-tec. That sounds kinda fast, or maybe - I am guessing - it just means a v4 technology engine.

Wow what arrogant pricks.

mdj89, get the honda for now. At least you won't go broke trying to keep the BMW running. Wait until you are a bit older and have some more income.

Don't really understand the point of this thread though....are you just asking if you should save up?

Not quite sure why you are asking in this forum, but I would recommend the Honda if you are having your doubts. I have both of the cars you asked about and I have had no major problems with my 2000 SI. Not saying you will have any major problems with the E46 but if your worried about fixing the car go with the Honda. (As long as previous owner kept up on his maintenance, but thats the case with any car)

Good luck

Like every other Honda Civic owner just get the Honda and try to mod it to look like the car you really want. The stupidity put into these vehicles in my town have really turned my opinion towards those vehicles sour even though I know they are very reliable vehicles.

Going to agree with Nick here. If you don't have the money/income to maintain the BMW get the Honda for now. It'll last you until you want to buy the bimmer.

I think that is an excellent idea, personally.

Many 20 year olds do not display the clarity of thought and planning you seem to show; good job.

I think it's the smart thing to do. If you can't afford to buy an E46 outright and have enough left over to absorb any unexpected repairs or planned preventative maintenance (e.g. cooling system), you'll be in for a world of hurt. The Honda is exactly the sort of first car most people should be driving.

And they call me an asshole. Heh.

Who says the OP is a girl ? And if you`re paying attention, you`ll note that he/she lists a CORVETTE as the current vehicle....

I believe in equality. Don't you? Plus calling somebody a troll is not an offensive term. A troll is somebody who takes pleasure in riling people up, so in that regard, I didn't offend the OP.

Comprehensive reading is a lost art now-a-days. I was hoping people would get my joke.

I did notice that, but took it to mean nothing. Teenage kids/first time car buyers often list the car that their parents drive or what they want to drive...and then there's me.

True. In the english language there is no gender neutral term...only when referring to a group (they, them, we). A sociologist would argue that western society puts much more emphasis on gender recognition sooner, than other cultures...but I digress.

OP, don't play with Anacondas, they're dangerous...ask Ice Cube.
