Fuel Tank Ventilation Valve

I am looking at a 2009 335i sedan that seems like a pretty good deal but it has one discloser and is listed exactly like this.

"This car is a Disclosure car, originally from California. The fuel tank ventilation valve was replaced under warranty for the original owner. This is the disclosure that must be noted and signed by the next buyer. Other than that the CarFax is clean, no damage to this car and no accidents reported. Also, the high-pressure fuel injection pump has the balance of BMWs 10 year or 120,000 mile warranty coverage."

The car has very low mileage and is in great condition otherwise. I have tried doing some searches for people with troubles with the valves and if there are any they seem to get buried by the High Pressure fuel pump issues so not having much luck finding things on it. Thanks for any help or advice.

There has been a few reports that the car is difficult to refuel. If the Carbon Filter Canister becomes soaked with raw fuel, then this causes a refuel issue and the ventilation system components may need replacement. But this is pretty rare. And if one is in California and the car seems difficult to refuel - more than likely it is the service station's fuel nozzle and vapor recovery system causing problems.

HPFP issue is part of owning a 335i - if you don't want to deal with it then don't buy one. Unless of course, you feel it perversely satisfying to buy a 335i just so you can complain about it on E9x BitchFest.
