expansion tank leak after rreplacement

ok just replaced power steering pump (shaft broke --110,000 miles), figured i would change drive belt , the expansion tank and drain coolant system while i was in the area,,,can not get the top hose to stop dripping at the expansion tank, can I replace the o-rings or do i have to replace the hose assembly power steering would have been alot easier if I had removed the fan and shroud before I took off the drive belt, i think,, ended up leaving them on, guess i need that special tool for that job. Anyway about the o-rings ?

Hi. I had similar problem with my new header tank, the problem was that I never pushed the hoses on hard enough. I took the air box off to get more room then levered the header tank forward while pushing on the hose then pushing the clip down ( you need three hands). I checked it was fitted properly by wiggling the hose to see if any water escaped, be careful of hot water escaping. Not had any problems since. Jim

redid 4 times , 1st try think it was not locked in, even tried vasoline to lube the o-ring seals, still drips i guess i should just replace the hose assembly, but the other repaires were enough $$$ for one week. just wondering if the o-rings can be replaced, thanks for the reply
