Service Interval Computer QQQ
'06 330ci... 39,200 miles. The warranty runs out at the end of the month, so I just did the "goodbye-to-warranty" final check-up and oil change. (Everything checks out just fine!) The dealership was able to justify the oil change even though I still have 3700-ish remaining on the Service Interval Display because the last one was over a year ago (I've only owned the car for 4 months). However, I was told that the counter could NOT be reset because it wasn't close enough to a service interval. Can that really be true? I figured you could just plug in the MODIC gizmo and enter a reset code.
Enlighten me, Oh Gurus of the Bavarian Motorcar. |

Do you have an E90 or an E46?

I made a vid on how to reset it, but it will be like 15k miles or something so it's up to you if you want to do it.

I followed your procedure and the counter indeed appear to perform a reset; but, it still reads 3750 just like before.

That was instructions for oil service, not scheduled maintenance. Though I believe its very close to the same procedure.
