Exclamation Fan relay wiring

New to the Forum.
I have a 1991 735i that I am restoring. I have an overheating issue.
I replaced all belts, hoses, flushed the radiator, new thermostat and water pump.
I believe I bled all the air out of the system. I took it for a ride and after 5 miles the temp gauge buried itself in the red. I checked for leaks and could not find any. ( no leaks or coolant smells) I did find the fan relay switch busted, so i purchased a new relay as well as connector body. But the 3 wires were not in the housing and I would like to wire the relay correctly. I called my local BMW dealership and after checking thru all they had They could not help ???? So,I would like to know if anyone knows the wiring sequence for the fan relay switch that is located on the passenger side of the radiator. It has 3 wires Brown, blue, gray.
Thanks.
