Had my friend drive my car for two seconds and his iphone went under the driver seat and into the air ducks under there for the heater/air conditioning. How the hell do I get under there!? lol. it's like all the way in under the driver seat in the floor.

Take a wire coathanger, open it up, make a small loop in one end, and wrap a few rubber bands thru the loop.....hopefully, you can get into the opening, and snag the phone using the friction from the rubber bands....good luck !

Yeah, those air ducks really are nasty enemies of skinny phones. Probably peck'em to death in no time.

After a lady friend's skinny Samsung almost found its way there, I've seriously considered removing the seats, drilling holes right down the middle and passing a wire loop thru each air duct, to avoid this nasty occurence. Fortunately, even without its armored case, my N97 won't fit in there...

Call it over and over again, maybe it will vibrate it self out, there's gotta be an app for this :D

Or you can do some 0-60 acceleration runs, drive hard around some corners... hopefully gravity will be your freind.

EDIT: I got my Zippo trapped in there once, and I thought it was a goner, but about 2 months later after a bout of spirited driving it flew out of the vent and into the rear passenger area.

I tried that. Make it more stuck LOL.
Only way it's coming out is to remove the duct. And that's just to much work.
I guess an iphone 3G-S now lives inside my car.

Tape up all of the other vents on the car, then turn the fan up on high and see if the phone gets shot out?

I laugh at this, but with trepidation, as I have an iPhone which usually sits on top of the (closed) ashtray and tends to slide back and forth a bit when I drive. It's been known to fly off and into the footwell if I take a curve in a lively manner....

You're right, I did laugh. Maybe try jacking the front end up, if it slid that far forward it should slide back out.?.

I have used this tool numerous times in my engine bay. Not having to jack the car up, remove skid plate and retrieve dropped socket, ratchet, screwdriver, etc...priceless.
