Priceline and Week of May 17th

Hi, does anyone know if there's any events going on in the week of May 17th?

I am picking up on 5/7 and my 1st week of hotels are easily booked through priceline. However, I haven't had much success for the 2nd week.

I checked biddingfortravel.com and saw people were paying 60s - 80s for the hotels that I will be going in the week of May 17th, but the bids were all rejected even for $100. I was trying to book these areas in particular: Nuremberg, Heidelberg, and Frankfurt.

Anyone else going to those places in the week of May 17th and also trying to book through priceline? TIA.

Hi Outie, I've booked the final 3 days of my tour (Monday, small town of Seebach in the Black Forest area near the France border) and then my last 2 days in Munich on the 18th and 19th without any problems and no one at BMW told me about anything special other than the end of May starting to pick up re tourists.....and therefore more $$$ if they can get it.

Le'me know if you find something that'll cause traffic jams 'cause I've got alot to do in Munich before dropping the car off and going home.

Booked via Priceline in Munich Marriott on May 13th, 14th and 21st all for $70?? not sure why you are having problems?

Edit: Sorry I thought you were looking in Munich for hotels.
