DIY- iTouch/iPhone on iDrive display !

HI Guys,

Just thought i'd let you know i've successfully managed to connect my ITouch to my IDrive Display WITH the Audio going through my speakers too....

If you want to do this too you WILL need to have an aftermarket DVD System with AUX IN (audio + video) and also a 'Jailbroken' IPhone or ITouch.

Here's how :
1st Jailbreak your ITouch / IPhone with 'Blackra1n' or 'Redsn0w'
2nd Next via Cydia or Rock ....Install 'TVOut2 "Mirror" TV Out' V1.0.9 onto your ITouch/IPhone (This activates the TVOut Function which Apple have disabled on ur IPhone/ITouch)
3rd Next you will need a compatible AV Cable to connect to your IPhone/ITouch to give you AV Out....

..................You need to make sure the cable you buy is compatible with your ITouch/IPhone software version (mine is V3.1.2)
..................I bought the one in the pic above which allows Charging of your ITouch/IPhone too .... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...=STRK:MEWNX:IT
4th Finally. Connect the AV Cable to your AUX IN in your car then run TVOUT on your ITouch/IPhone to setup the display orientation & size then run ANYTHING you like !!

Here's some piccies.......

Here's the ITouch Main Menu

You can actually use this for ANY AV Source ...as long you you have the right cable, jailbroken ITouch/IPhone and the TVOut 2 software.

For example here is my ITouch connected to my 50 inch Plasma TV ....
