1st Roadtrip

My wife picked up her new 328xi a couple of weeks ago and she put about 300 miles on it...........until this past weekend!!!!

We took a little roadtrip from northern NJ to coastal NC. House to house plus driving around 1,000 miles r/t. The ride was awesome, we loved it, and the auto high beam feature is killer.

I think she's fully broken in now!

PS. The dog like the rear shades,

Very cool, but I don't know if I could travel with my dogs without a buckle in carrier or something.

He has a harness that he gets buckled into the safty belt. But I take it off him when we leave the car at a rest stop/ lunch what ever because he tangles himself up.

LOL, My wife and I were laughing because, the shades Sat Radio and auto hi beams are three options we never would have ordered but were on the car the dealer found for us.......and we loved them all !!!!
The majority of the trip down was in the dark on roads w/o good lighting. Normally I flip the switch a 1,000 times.......not any more!

The car is fast and comfortable we averaged 60+ mph including traffic on the nj turnpike and stops for lunch and fuel. The car was very comfortable cruising between 80-90 all day long. The Nav system & iDrive are VERY nice with many great & useful features, Sport seats are a must!

Our dog Gryphon is a long hair mini dachshund, he travels everywhere with us and he is a champ, great dog, loves to travel.

A word of caution with using the auto high beam...

You will use your fingers less. Make sure that you keep that middle finger in shape and stretched out, you never know when you might need it.

I've noticed that xRated shows me how to stretch this finger whenever he drives by me.

Great looking dog. 'Glad you enjoyed the car. I passed on the shade and have heard so little about it... kinda wondered if it was handy.

IMHO, dog + BMW = great.

You need an E91 goat-getter for that.

A friend of mine used to drive a Goat, back in the day.

Drive, I said drive, not ride.

Ish,

Your dog looks very content! We have the sunshade in the rear window of the MB and absolutely love it in the summer. Makes a huge difference in how hot the car gets.
