Options for connecting ipod...

Hi all,

Just purchased a '06 X3 with navigation and I'm looking for a better way to connect my ipod. The car came with an Ipod kit that has the cord running through the glove box. It plays fine however I would like to have full control over the ipod. I thought about buying a ipod female socket to 3.5mm jack and going that route. I came across the cable jive cord but I read here that it won't work on the X3. Just curious to see if anyone knows why it wouldn't work and if there are other options that aren't too expensive. Thanks!

I just turned in mu '04 X3 and removed my Dice unit. It appears that the Dice will not work in my new E92.
