I have a set of brakes ready to go on, the replacement body kit piece is at the body shop getting turned into a less crappy replacement piece and it's getting painted too. I am ordering some new tailights and tires soon, have a set of resonators ready to be welded in.....
I can pull it out of storage next friday....I can't wait to drive my e-21 again.

16mm socket and a really strong back. Those power seats weigh a freaking ton. Torque the bolts to 45nm when reinstalling. The car looks and smells a lot better with clean carpets.
Melody herfed under the passenger seat once or twice (Highway 49 and BMW FTW). I miss my little puppy girl.

I didn't find Vaders to be very comfortable based on that time I rode in your car. I love the E46 sport seats. I ordered a replacement seat back cover from Tischer for my driver seat. It will be installed this Thursday.

Cliff:
Kari wants to know if you'll come do her car next? (I just showed her this) And, the obligatory Bimmerfest sticker shot:

I bet the seats do fit. My concern would be the connector for the sensors and power this and that. My guess is that has changed.
Your car looks great, Jon. And you're nuts for buying my old wheels. You really ought to spend a couple of bucks and have those CHs refinished. My neighbors say the same thing when they see me doing my biannual detail..

Here's a side shot of mine that I didn't send you. I painted the calipers with silver caliper paint from Tirerack, and the wheels are from Turner Motorsports. Premier will install a clear bra on April 12 after the paint has cured. I have to wait until mid-May before I can use Klasse on the car.

Nice shot! I wouldn't wait to do the Klasse. I made that mistake, discovering yesterday etching in the new paint that was unprotected... I too waited for the paint to "cure". I tried buffing the marks out yesterday, but it was too late...

Very nice M3 Jon. Cliff love that color on your car. I have the same year 02, mine has auto position on the headlight switch, I dont see that on yours that was something I thought would be the same? Is it a package option or something?
I wont be going to bfest, unfortunately but here is the most recent pic I took. Last edited by 02 330Ci; 03-28-2010 at 10:13 AM. |

Same here. I'll have her wash/waxed, then cover her for the night so she'll look extra special for the big day

Well I'm planning to buff and wax mine before I leave, it's not too bad for 29 year old paint (mostly) Then I'll be driving it 3500 miles across the nastiest dirtist place I can find (at least most of the road is paved now a days) So I'll be looking for a place to do a detail after I get down there. I'll be in San Fransisco for a week, So I hope my Uncle has a garage I can clean up the car in....Cars that have driven the ALCan are pretty nasty if they survive the highway.

Both places hand wash you ride. Glenoaks Car Wash 444 South Glenoaks Boulevard, Burbank, CA 91502-1419 (818) 841-5000***8206; They do just as good a job but at about half the cost of the one in Glendale. Antique Car Wash 236 S Glendale Ave Glendale, CA 91205 (818) 246-1560

Thanks, I'll also be bringing along my porter cable since I'm sure it'll to be buffed again once I get down there.
I'll be in San Fransico for about a week before the fest so I'll hopefully do all the hard work of removing the road grime there. I also imagine I'll hit a manual car wash in washington somewhere too since having that car firlthy will drive me nuts.

When I can't do it myself, I usually get it detailed at Fasching's Car Wash. It's in Arcadia just down the street from the Santa Anita Horse Park.
Fasching's Car Wash-Auto Detailing 425 N Santa Anita Ave Arcadia, CA 91006 (626) 446-0654 I have mesh style wheels and my pet peeve at the car wash is they never do a good job on my wheels. I haven't had a problem with them so far.

I have my 17" style 5 rims to put on, get my windows tinted, shadowline, and get her washed & waxed. I plan on doing everything between the 10 thru 17 of may.
