It's definitely going to be a hardtop in 2011!

BMWBlog got this posting wrong (says the pic is of a coupe). The roof lines where they meet the windsheild clearly show the break we have between our soft top and the windshield frame. You can also see the break mid roof where the front and back side windows meet at the roofline.

Well at least one mystery is solved. I would have to see the full lines of it to see if I really like the new style. All the camouflage makes it hard to get a good view, which is the purpose of it anyway.

Looks horrible!!!and what little wheels and it sits high also whats up with that front bumper?the 6 is looking like the new 7 and 5 series which is fugggly its has no styling or sexy look to it BMW is getting way to consertive there turning all the new car line up like the 7 series in smaller sausage links they need to get out the box like the did in the 2000 era to take it or leave it also look whats that done for Audi there sexy and man the A 6 coupe and vert hot and our 6 just got cooled off o yeah we have a uglier 6 series 4 door comming out to take on the mercedes cls amg are they kidding me? BMW maybe going into some dark days ahead I really hope this isnt what we have to look forward to or its a 911,Merc,Jag its starting to look good for me

agree, it will be a hardtop vert; but the wheels are left small intentionally, to serve the same purpose as the camo*harder to grasp the final design*

however; from the front bumper height(and grille, headlights, height ect.) i think the current gen will look better; and will probably forego the bmw dealership for the next gen 6 and get myself a used bently conti gt

If that's what the new 6 looks like Koenvw, then I will have to see it's a bad ride indeed. I love the aggressive look of the front. Not too sold on the trunk due to the lights now joined on the trunk lid. looks too much like the 7 series, but it's still a sweet looking ride IF that's the final production.

All BMW are a look alike there brothers... 6 looks like a 7, 5 looks like a 7 series, 3 looks like 7...

You can see in the pics how low the kidney grilles will be - not as low as the above pics, but certainly with a more of a new 7 feel to the look.

How much storage with the HT is the question...if they can maintain the room we have now...it might work. The reason they are going away with the hard-top in the 3 series (and why I got ride of mine) was due to the strorage areas AND BIG chick weight! Dont get me wrong...I love a big chick like the next man, but that doesn't mean I have to wake up with her! No disrepect to all the big chicks out there either! Jag XKR is starting to pull on my shoulder....

The front Shot posted above doesn't actually tell you the exact look, but look it from the side and it's just awesome...

And the wheels are just amazing as well...

I hear that it's going to have different engine options. The standard V8 or the super charged V8 that is currently in the X6. The M6 version not sure what they are planning on doing with that V10 motor yet. Eitherway, there will be more ponies under the hood. Which begs the question: Where the heck are we going to drive these super machines?
