550i sport wheel substitute?

Just ordered a 550i with sport package a few days ago.
Almost went with the 535i based mostly on not liking the 550i sport package wheels.
The 550i sport wheels seem too busy to me, and almost internally aesthetically inconsistent. IMHO.
Do any of you have plans/ideas on how to substitute out of these wheels?
Can you do it before delivery, essentially switching during the build phase, or do we have to wait until after the care is delivered and buy new wheels then?

I am in the same boat as you are... I just sent an email to my CA asking if different wheel options are available for 550i or not??

I'm wondering why BMW offer a 20" wheel option for 550i or 535i

I don't see a 20" option on the order sheet.
Anybody know how to get them?

Don't get it. Why are you wondering? What makes you wonder?

Because BMW offer a 20" option for 550GT but not for 550i or 535i.

Does anyone know if the 550 GT 20" optional sport wheels will fit the 550 sedan?

Agree with you here 100%, although my last two 5's have been V8's, I think I'm going to opt for the 535i this go around with the F10.

I'm really liking the 535i sport wheels much better; they seem to be more true to BMW's non-gawdy styling, whereas the 550's wheels and exhaust setup look a bit aftermarket IMO.

wow, you're willing to sacrifice the 550 driving experience because of the wheels? To each his own, but I think I will be able to get used to the wheels, but not to the thought that I could have been driving a 550 instead of a 535....

Make sure you see the 550 sport wheels before deciding to replace with the 535 version. I did, at the NYIAS and can say the photos do not give them justice. However, if you're spending $70K on a new vehicle, you should buy anything that you like and want.

I like those 550 Sport Wheels a lot. They are fresh and innovative. Very cool. I like the fact that they not like so many other wheels out there.

Or better yet just replace them.

BMW should offer 312 as an option on top of the Sports Pkg.

Neither 330 nor 332 is very attractive. Maybe they will look better in the flesh.

Work something out with the dealer or sell them to me at a competitive number and I'll put winter tires on the them.

Rim option?

I just ordered an F10 550i w/sports pkg. I had teh asme reservations in regards to the wheels. All I can add to this is that every video feed or drive information I can find online states that the pictures do not do them justice. I should know in a couple weeks!. If they are that hidious they will definately make great snow wheels!
