HIT and RUN

Somebody just hit my front bumper and ran! My wife just pulled up and told me my car was hit! I thoughtshe was playing and went to see....YEP a scrap from the right front hd light (right under it) to the rt front fender.......I AM GETTING MY RIMS AND SPRINGS PUT ON IN THE MORNING! I was at work and went straighttfrom there to the golf course....WTF!

Now does anyone know where I can get a front bumper for an 07 650i Spt Pkg......FAST, but on the cheap?

If you can file it as "uninsured motorist" the deductable is probably really low. Call your agent.

i've seen a few bumpers on ebay for cheap... just need to have it painted though...

happened to me. shop quoted me 1500 to repaint back bumper and re-sand. $500 DEDUCTIBLE

Hell I might as well go with the M6 front bumper if i have to replace it. How hard is this to do by chance? Cops are on the way and it will have to be uninsured motorist bc I have a 1G deductible on my 6 and RR Sport. I am ready to fight somebody....I am headed to the strip club!

Guys thanks for all the info...makes me feel better too! Feels sick when your ride gets hit (any ride) but when its the 6...feels like somebody walked up to your wife, smack her on the a$$, and said " thanks for keeping my girlfriend warm for me".....gut wrenching!

I may be screwed...cop showed up and asked if i knew where it was hit at (specifically) and I said no...I was at work then the golf course. She wrote it up as damaged property...WGMc can I still file uninsured motorist with this "damaged property" answer from the officer?

Sorry to hear that.

A lot of my friends laugh at me for parking in the far side of just about any parking lot, but this is the reason I do that...my philosophy is simple "no body cares about your car more than you" so that's why I park far out, plus I burn calories during the walk in lol!

Thanks guys for all the thoughts. Just got the call from USAA and I will pay a $250 deductible for UM...thats great. Spoke with the place that will replace it and I asked if I could get the M6 bumper and pay the diff, they said sure as long as it fits. I responded with "well your repair person shoudl know that right"...she said if it wont fit they will not purchase it, if they can fit it on...we can get it for you. That works for me and I only pay cost for part (NO LABOR OR PAINT). Pushin650 I am getting the Bilstein Sport struts/shocks (w/damping), H&R springs, and Vossen VVS086 Wheels (20x10.5 and 20x9) with Yokohama Tires....at the shop now getting put on. Will post pics (Sat) after I get her tonight. This may turn out positive after all. Flight 23 I WILL be parking next to a co-workers Z06 from now on....at the FAR end of the p-lot as well. Time to put my pedometer on. Thanks again 6 owners!

i feel your pain

same thing happened to me on my rear bumper sometime last weekend; I dont know when it happened, luckily, it appears everything will be able to be buffed out, or and a friend of mine has been doing body work for a long time so im going to have him take care of it*may still be some very minor flaws afterwards*

USAA is awesome. Sounds like it is going to work out okay for ya.

USAA is great, been with them since the beginning... One of the few organizations that really does take care of the military...

I have taken pictures of the damage. After talking to my body guy...he said this damage does not warrant a new bumper. He suggested if I wanted a new bumper, I should...."create a new picture" aka take a screw driver to it before they take pictures on Monday or else they are going to repair it only. I am cool with a repair, but if the decide to replace it...M6 bumper here I come! He said he would also take care of the other litle scratch by the drivers wheel well. I am cool either way since USAA is giving me a rental.
