Which helmet do you like more/hate less?

I'm gonna buy a new helmet for next riding season, no more cheap stuff for me!
I can't decide between these two AGV Rossi helmets. If it helps you make your decision, I have a Repsol jacket and will be getting some repsol gloves as well

5 Continents:

Well, if Valentino Rossi didn't suck so badly, I'd go for the 5 Continents.

I have an AGV and it's a good helmet. However, it's a notch below my Shark Duhamel helmet I got at motorcyclecloseouts.com for $200. Yep, that's a $640 helmet for $200. Why spend $600 on a helmet when you can get what I would consider a better quality helmet (based on my experience with both Shark and AGV) for $200?

Unless, of course you can find the Rossi on sale for $200.

Well, I would be getting either of those helmet for about $250, because the rest is being paid by mi madre, as a 21st b-day/ x-mas gift

Srsly? That stuff is WAY too busy to put on my head.

I have a HD carbon kevlar 1/2 helmet (summer), a MOMO Fighter (mat black for fall/winter), and will get a Les Ateliers Ruby when I am back in Paris/Lyon in a few weeks.
I have ridden motorized two-wheelers since the late 70s and have had all kinds of helmets, Ruby is a step above anything I have ever owned.

AGV for teh win...

I pick the 5 continents version as it's the least "hectic" looking.

I just picked up one of these...

^ That's pretty sweet lol, but I wouldn't feel safe doing 140+ w/o a full face shield!

So far I'm leaning towards the 5 continents...

I don't particularly care for either, but if I had to choose one of the two, I'd go with 5 Continents. Both are quite flashy, but the first one is a little less.... something.

Granted I'm a little late, looks like I'm the only one to cast my vote for the Dream Helmet. Though it's busy, the configuration is the same as the first Rossi Replicas that were made where the Sun and Moon were on opposing sides of the head... I miss that helmet

RF1000? I have 2 RF lids. The old RF 800 Pascal Picotte Replica (Retired), and the latest Picotte Rep (RF 1000).

I think that Shoei makes great helmets... As much as I wanted an Arai, I will most likely stick with Shoei.

Yeah it's a RF1000, I was about to pick up a rf1100 hardon shoei helmet, but I always loved the Caster helmets.

No problem, if you stick around here long enough you begin to realize I'm kidding about 97% of the time lol

So far it's basically stock, but this coming spring I've got strainless braided brake lines to go in. I'm going to be looking to upgrade to a 1000rr because the prices have dropped so much...

No, I'd pick up an 05-07 1000rr, the prices around here are dropping through the floor, seems like everyone wants 600s...

I do primarily street driving, but will be going to track days next spring. I live less than 30 minutes north of Road America, and they're going to be open for more track days.
I rode my cousins 1000rr and honestly, it feels like a very powerful 600. It handles beautifully, and the midrange feels 10x better than my 600. Going through the twisty roads near my house, I found I was getting about 15-20 mph faster in the short straights, it was awesome

Rarely in the bike forum but now that I wandered in here..

I think you make a great choice with the shoei. Shoei has one of the best quality control in the industry. I have owned my RF1000 Duhamel "dragon" replica for about 4 years now, love the helmet.
