Can anyone help please ?
My e.c.u. got wet recently , upon replacement I no longer get the "bbbzzzz" sound when turning on the ignition , sorry for the terminology but I believe its the sound of the fuel line pressurising, also my starter has now packed up,
any advice on the first problem would be gratefully appreciated.

Thanks

Phil

How did your ECU get wet? Fresh or salt? How deep?

I asked because I was wondering what else got wet. Did you drive through deep water, or get sprayed? Did it get into just the interior of the car, or the engine bay, too? If the engine got doused/soaked, you could have water in any of a number of places in the engine that would prevent the car from running; you could have shorted out any of a number of eletctronics. I dunno E36s, but those are general concerns.
