6 Series
The BMW 6 Series builds on BMW's sporty heritage with aggressive lines and an incredible motor to back the design up. Available in coupe and convertible trims with a standard 4.8 liter engine producing 360 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of torque, the 6-series is a popular choice that exceeds expectations. |

DIY 645Ci drop.
Hey guys, has anyone done a drop by themselves on 645/650? Would like to see some pics maybe a guide. I've been working on cars for a long time, have access to a full shop.
Thank you in advance Last edited by daxxkid; 04-17-2010 at 01:10 PM. |

This is one of those mods that I'd take to the shop and let the pro's handle. It can be very dangerous if you don't know what your doing. That's just my opinion.

It's easy..all you need is a spring compressor ,and some minor tools.

Thank you Phatisfy, that's what I was looking for, wasn't sure if I had to remove the rear axels or anything else big. I got the spring compressor and a lift.

So I did it, this past saturday, wasn't bad, but did find out there is a blown left front strut :-(, I will be replacing that. Also while take the nuts off the tierod and control arms, 2 nuts didn't want to come at all, used some heat and they came, but had to replace them since the locking plastic meted away. Sofar I like what these springs have done for the car. Gonna wait few weeks doe them to settle, then I'll try to take some pictures.
