How to track the car production progression after placing the order with the dealer and getting a production number.

go to bmwusa.com, create an account. provide either partial vin or production #. website is not truly synced with production cycle but give basic info. i found calling the 800 831 1117 to track has way more up to date info.

+1 Much more up to date. Once it's on a vessel, your sales advisor can tell you which vessel so that you can track it's progress to a US port.

Its an X6 the car is manufactured Spartanburg, South Carolina.

Correct, I reside in Italy and the X6's we order are built itn the U.S. and shipped here.
